Cut and paste- "The beginning"
Protoss basically does a normal 2 gatewat build and zerg does a 10/9 OL, then pool, followed by a hatch at choke. Zerg is the first one to make a move and starts pumping lings with any larva he can find. He gathers 10 and sends them to the protoss. The battle takes place at the choke and all of the lings were decimated. Although they did take one zeal down, it was quickly replaced. This continued as wave after wave of lings are "Thrown away" to the protoss choke, eventually causing the protoss to build a sheild there. During this time, the zerg took the opportunity to expand to his gimme. It really appeared zerg had the upper hand keeping protoss confined and being able to expand. |

Did it seem to you as if Everlast was talking to Whoop as if Whoop was some kind of wide eyed newbie? Everlast's quotes seem short and rude, irritated too... WTF? If my impression is correct, I have no respect for someone like that. I could see if Whoop was like, "Stop attacking or I'll disconnect..."
Point number two, who ____ cheats? C'mon add a little dirt! What are they gonna do? |

I agree with YRM, there really isn't any excuse for that kind of arrogance. I recently read an interview with [9]evr and, unfortunately, it leads me to believe they were probably playing the real deal. Check it out:

<b>Ronin</b> - 3 on 3 on Hunters *gasp*. We rushed one out while Everlast and a terran took the top mid and right and expansion. Terran defended Everlast until Everlast came out with 36-48 (2-2) hydra and cleared the board. Even though I had 5-6 gates pumping units, nothing any of us could do. ;-( This was early-mid game too... none of us had ug's.
<b>Too the arrogance issue</b> - I didn't feel like he came across too arrogant. Yes, he had snide replies, but nothing I wouldn't expect. Arrogant... I can think of someone a little more arrogant. Me, "So, you are going to master terran now I take it?" - Him "Apparently". Nuff said! |

First of all Ice you had my BO all wrong. I did 13 double hatch then pool. Then hatch #3. I was using 3 hatch lings cause I wanted to see how he would stop it. He basically held his ramp and would exchange the front beat down zeals for fresh ones. I think I coulda ran him over with my lings if I had sent larger waves. Anyways once he put up the bat I sent my OL through his base and saw the reavers coming. I knew I couldnt get muta in time so I went hydra.
Unfortunately he got speed for his shuttles and that won him the game.
In retrospect I shoulda pumped a few less lings and a few more drones. Also I coulda easily gotten a spire WAY sooner but for a while I thought my lings were gonna win it for me and so I didnt.
Also whether he was the real everlast or not I didnt find him to be incredibly rude. He certainly wasnt incredibly friendly. He had a good deal of professional arrogence. He also was getting the third degree from everyone about not being the real everlast which he told me he gets everyday. That must get real old.
As for beating us 3v2, I didnt think it was that impressive. He made no units relying upon his terran partner to hold the choke while he powered like a mofo. He had 4 hatches pumping drones and then prolly had 6-7 hatches pumping hydra. Myself personally I was thinking he was gonna bust out massive muta hordes and so threw up 2 stargates to pump corsair. I had a lot of spare minerals and was making my third expansion when the thunder came home. I held off the first wave but wave 2 and 3 were close behind. I told syd to scout with an ol but he never did.

*Cat sounds* Sheesh whoop, it's only a BO. ;-) Anyway, you almost had the choke with your second wave, but after that there was no way you would have taken the choke. No matter how many lings, he had 5-6 zeals after that. I think that's when he stopped making zeals and threw up the battery. Back to your build, I think you made the Ol too soon too. You made the OL before anything (pool or hatch).. I noticed that specifically. Oh well, all retrospect now. I was totally watching your build because I was thinking you were going to bust out with Everlast's hydra because of the earlier game.
And whoop, anytime 1 person can take out You, sydane, and me... that's impressive. I mean, if you think about it, none of us three had been attacked at that point. Oh well... BLAH! O yeah, had you been able to get some muties, the game would have been yours. Who would have ever thought we'd see the day where whoop didnt make enuf drones? |

IN DEFENSE OF THE REAL EVERLAST.
Christ people, you read a little bit about a player and think you have him all figured out don't you?
I admit that he may have seemed rude in that interview, but come on, frankly even I am sick and tired of people asking him about that 'incident' he had in pgl. He had every right to be angry, and therefore it shouldn't be considered rude.
I do actually know eVR and he is a very polite player, he is not rude, at times when everyone talks to him at once I can see why, but 1/1 he is a nice guy. Except when he makes fun of maynard;0
I could right more, but I won't.

| That interview didn't really bother me. Part of the problem is that voice inflections don't come through online so everything seems more arrogant and serious than it really is. |
