| I finished this in August but never submitted it. I'm back home now, found the report, and sent it in. I haven't had a crazy experience like this in college yet, but I'm sure I'll find one eventually. |

I really enjoyed this. The pictures especially; the areas you traveled through were beautiful. We're supposed to rate based on how much we enjoy the report, so I gave you an eight.
The writing was pretty good. There were numerous spelling/grammar errors, and much of the text felt like it was written trying to be overly flashy. That's fine, though, finding the right balance between succinctness and verbosity is something you have to try and work with if you want to write. Just remember that if you're attempting to find the happy medium of eloquence you're probably going to have to write several pieces that come off as...well, grandiloquent. I'm not sure I'd classify this as such (nor am I sure that anything containing the line "shit, shit, shit!" could ever achieve such a distinction,) but I would certainly say it would be better with fewer attempts at grandiose wording.
Despite that, I enjoyed the report immensely, and am not going to hold it not being a "battle report" against you (as if I had any right to...). Your comments about the French and about Guinness, however, sorely tempt me to give you a one. ;p |

| I agree with Maareek. Beautifully done report. The writing was captivating and reminds me of when Mattzarella would write about his experiences with Tropical storms. Not a battle report, but a report on life and the wonderful experiences we can have with it. Good job. |

Hey, nice report. I liked the images, and it was a good enjoyable read.
We'll eventually be able to segment the website to highlight these type of reports in a different area than say.. Starcraft reports. |

like maar said, the writing was a bit overzealous at times. there were some good spots, though, and i never really got bored with it.
i also didn't like how crude some of the report was. taking a shit is just not funny to me, which is a personal taste but i think it's a problem nonetheless.

| This was very enjoyable, though Guiness is good and you are a bad person for implying otherwise. The pictures were great, I wish there had been more of those. |

Great! A report about my home country... And also about a region I traveled some time ago! I'd award you a 10 just because of that, if I could.
Was a nice read even though shiting and drinking are not my favorite themes to hear about.
I won't jump on the writing issues, because I couldn't do it any better...
And about Guinness... well since I don't like beer at all I better keep my mouth shut. (I know I'm a German and supposed to drink constantly... ...maybe I had a bad [or good] childhood.)
Alltogether I'd give this 7-8 depending on my actual mood. Good Work! |
