Wow, I check the site for the first time a couple of weeks and theres a report with me in it!
Nice idea for game choice, and I think the fan-fic style writing worked well. However, we don't fight anything and I come off as an alcoholic coward. Please fix this in the next installment.

Someone actually submitted a FFT report last year, but they didn't stick with it. Too bad, 'cause it looks like such a neat piece of software.
Hm, as for your report, 'twas an interesting mixture of comedy and gravitas. I don't generally like fanfics, but I agree with Decay... It definitely seems to be working in this case. More pics would've helped for those who haven't played the game, but since it's a more story-oriented thing, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Definitely looking forward to playing FFT vicariously through future instalments of this series. |

This was good. I enjoyed this much. No "rofl" moments for me but the humor worked well enough...I'm not one to actually laugh, I guess. Or perhaps I'm not into your humor as much as I thought =P
I'm confused regarding your protagonist...I would assume normally it was Ramza, since you seemed to introduce him as a protagonist at the start. However, when you and Dickie came in as characters it seemed like the focus would shift back and forth a little bit. I'm not sure if you intended that (especially considering your comments in the afterword regarding putting yourself in your work) and if you did, the transitions between the two didn't seem to work for me. It seemed like you two for a while, then suddenly there's someone to fight so we jump over to Ramza, and then as soon as the dust settles, back to you guys. I don't know if I'm making sense or explaining my problem with it at all.
Agreed about pics, and hoping you'll develop the whole "why do they hate us" angle next time around. I was hoping to have Tim and Zeke develop a little more before you offed them, but I guess that's not how shit worked out.

newbeye: i take it you've never played FFT, then? im glad i could make someone enjoy the game who has never played it, and also happy that you enjoy a fanfic when you usually dont. im one of those people as well who hates fanfiction unless its absolutely stellar, so i am being a hypocrite and writing my own.
dd: in the beginning of the report, and its blatantly obvious (at least for me), i try to make the report silly and casual and it turns into something way more serious as i said in the afterword. i dunno what happened but im happy with the way the second half turned out more so than the first. you could definitely look forward to less mattz humor in the next installment and sparse but more eloquent humor. i dont think this is intended to be funny in any real way, but being who i am i will make some attempt to make it so.
generally there is a conflict as to who the protagonist is right now, and the change in perspective is intentional. you will understand why it's like that probably in the next installment but i cant make any gurantees, this thing pretty much writes itself. im just a funnel.
you can definitely expect more pictures next time. mooooost certainly. |

| oh, one more thing about ramza: it's practically a necessity for him to be a protagonist at all times. if i were to lose sight of him for a while, narratively speaking, i would have to reiterate the actual storyline from his perspective or everyone would be lost. so much plot is thrown at you in FFT that you couldn't afford to lose sight of ramza for a minute if you still want to understand what's happening. if the characters were to split up, you can bet your shiny golden monkey that you'll be getting a story from the NHers and ramza. because it cant work any other way, you see. :) |

I loved FFT! So en essence. I love this report as well. I thought the humor had a good touch. Like DD said no "ROFL" moments but enough to get a chuckle. Keep it up! I can't wait to see what happens to the two poor SOB's that joined up with Ramza.

| Too easy to powergame in FFT. I would have my members throwing stones and potions at each other early on. Ramza spamming Yell till he gets more speed and actions per turn is rather broke. |
