Third. Oh, and I didn't really read, but...
Terrans get tanks about the same time zerg can get lurks, and will probably not go anywhere without detection, whether turret/sci vessel/comsat. Against 'toss, zeals take enough damage that a competent player won't leave his infantry sitting on invisible attackers long enough to be shredded.
Oh, and lings>zeals for cost. |

Ghost;
Terrans won't go anywhere without comsat, true. but in the early game, they won't have SVs, so lurks below ramps will get one good shot off before they have to run, and with infantry strung out on the ramp, they might bag 4-5 m&m with that one shot. Against toss, I said to use 6-8 lurks. 8 lurks do 160 damage per volley, just enough to kill zeals. And I don't like to use lings, don't know why. Just personal preferance.

| Here's something useful. Don't do put crap like this up again. I don't know what kind of scrub dumbasses you play with, but this shit won't work against any good person. If you can afford to put 4 lurks at every expo site, you should be killing their ass. When playing protoss, you're first hatch should be at your natural or an expo. If any player has combat units and isn't plugging up their ramp they deserve to lose, so most of your situations are bs and you have no idea what you are talking about. Against M&M, lurks are shit. You need lings, mutas, and lurks, otherwise one comsat will be enough to rape your force. You didn't say one relyable or informative thing, unless someone hasn't played before, and even then they shouldn't listen to you. |

| eh, i alwayz thought strat guides were OK to post as brs?:D Anywayz Berzerk..., u have good fundimental ideas but alot pf it is just basic and i have a feeling that you arent the best play in the world:( ( to post strat guides u must be good:P) If u wanna post some replays that might help but like i said, i don't think your good enough to be posting strat guides. Nice effort though! |

| btw...u should almost NEVER put lurks right on top of eachother... tank splash would be deadly....and vs toss it would be CRAZY cause of storm or even reavers:( |

basically a noob strat guide :/
OverTheUnder: so tank splash does hit burrowed units? I was wondering about that. Oops, just remembered that spider mines and reavers take out multiple burrowed lings as well... silly me ^^ |

| Yes, splash hits burrowed units, however irridiate only hits the irated unit. Also, the splash damage isn't that overly much when you put even a little space between the units. |

| This sucks. Shit, if I had any decent time on my hands I'd come up with something ten times better than this pile of crap. You must have a lot of time on your hands. If that's the case why don't you spend it doing something more worthwhile, or instead of writing a couple of crap "battlereports" write a good one. |

| Really now, your zerg will die to any decent player. And half the things in your guide are followed anyway, like using lurks for mm. wtf, using lurks vs mm?! heresy. |

| I give this a 3 and not a 2 because you actually put some effort into writing this. But where is the report? Your strategies really should be posted along with a battle report, EMPLOYING these strategies. |

| Tank splash effects burrowed units unless they are under dark swarm. Irradiate only effects the single unit if it is burrowed. I *think* bat splash works on burrowed units under dark swarm, but I'm not completely sure. Spider mines splash and damage is unaffected by dark swarm. Reavers I'm not sure about, I think they do full damage though under swarm. Archons only do splash under dark swarm. |

| evrtwa1-ar11-4.14.98.31.evrtwa1.dsl-verizon.net |
| Under a dark swarm ONLY the splash damage will be dealt. I believe that fb deal damage under swarm. Same with mines. |

| mblt-ab092.gtcom.net |
| Firebats do full normal damage against any unit under dark swarm, I'm not sure whether they do full and splash against burrowed units or not but I think they do. Mines are unaffected by dark swarm, as are all spells. Tanks do absolutely nothing to burrowed units under dark swarm. |

1. Do not write pure strategy guides (ie. w/o a report)
2. If you do decide to write a guide, make it thorough. Yours is just a collection of random thoughts, some of which are wrong, and the rest is too shallow and incomplete to be of any use. For an example of what a good guide looks like, check out Hautamaki's guide on www.gosugamers.net
3. While you do not need to be a top player to write a guide, there definitely is a minimum skill requirement. Moreover, the greatest challenge is to get your deep understanding of the game to show through your writing. Your writing shows nothing outside of the fact that you might have watched and misinterpreted a few replays. In reality, your skill may be comparable to that of the progamer, but your guide makes you look like a random pub.
4. When writing a guide, you are trying to place yourself in the position of authority. For your readers to accept what you are saying, you need to back up that status. This point is very similar to the one above. You need to get the reader to see that you are indeed qualified to write a guide.
5. Back up your guide with reports and replays. This also makes it easier for readers to judge your skill level. RIght now I am guessing you are a newb. But I would like to see a report, a replay, or better writing, showing me that I am wrong.
2 only because this is not spam. |

Anyone who recoils in terror at some collections of pixels in a videogame should be given a scratch and sniff sticker. |
