Great stuff man, i didnt think i would bother reading it (i havnt read a battlereport for like a month :P), but your writing (and the fact i used to do cross country running a lot) kept me reading. I felt myself nodding when you mentioned that you dont get any recigniton or girls :( the pacing required, that numbing pain in your chest that makes you want to colapse but somehow you just keep going...
In summary i fucking love this report

"i suggest trying out a new bg/font color scheme". In mozilla it appears as black on black. You don't need CSS for a report, and in this case it actually makes it worse. Kudos to ZerG~LinG on that.
Other than that it was nice. Your friend Josh reminds me so much of someone I know at work. Nice job and nice times. That's like 7 minutes a mile? I'd struggle to do that for one mile. Very good sportsmanship too.
Anyways, I think this has to be the first 'cross-country' battlereport ever done, so props on that. Your writing is as good as ever. I'm going to pretend for the moment that you do know how to use a <font> tag, and give this the grade I would if I didn't have to highlight all the text.

What do you run indoor/outdoor? I barely move in cross country, i'm just really not good at it. I ran a 16:55 2.5 a little while ago and after a 4 mile warm up ran a 21 3.1 developmental.

I havnt done any serious running since high school (go figure :P), but i remember getting around 4:59 in 1500m (around 0.95 or so miles??) back in grade 8.
Dunno what my cross country times were thou (i only went in the cross country in primary school and never finished better than 60th out of like 160 in the interschool :(

choboPeon: my school's cross country team is so small that "varsity" actually begins at the Freshmen level. I'm a Sophomore (do I really look like a senior in my picture :o). I've never run a mile indoors, but my outdoor time is about 5:45-48. 5K is 22:10 T_T.
Glad people enjoyed, getting a comment about my writing from SupeRc0pKr is certainly nice. I don't think I'll be bothering with CSS anymore. |

i ran the 100m in 11.2 secs in 8th grade, but ender would kick my ass in anything longer than a 400m. 16 minutes is a great time dude for a 2.5mile, so my hat goes off to you :).

But our school is pretty big on school spirit, I mean our swimming and bowling team, along with our band, gets recognition. I'd say cross country is right behind football, basketball show choir, and baseball, tied with track. Maybe like 300% :D. |
