My main gripe so far is the difficulty setting. The game you're playing is ridiculously easy. I hope you plan to make another one, on an actually difficult game. If you want to know what "difficult" is, set it to the hardest starting monsters and second hardest wandering monsters, with a level 1 palace and 10,000 gold. |

To me the continous use of fuck jsut made it unprofessional, and i know how Ling chews people out ove3r msily faces in report I don't see how this is any diffrent. I believe by stoppign the use of such swear words you can stat pulling in high 8's.
I mean if a zelot is saying oh shit once in a whel thats okay, but if in every pic its fuck fuck fuck, it gets repetitive and looks and feels immature. |

In general conversation, and normal talking, fuck isn't a big deal...I tend to use it liberally. But in writing fuck, and other curse words, can just bog down the entire thing. When reading, implication is normally better than stating something outright and there's nothing subtle about most curse words.
This is a good case of that, everybody has their taste, I like what I'm reading to be more subdued (mattz's early stuff was a little more than I enjoyed). I didn't get too fair into this before I just gave up.
He's not being prude by saying not to use fuck every time, it loses its worth like that. It's "The Little Boy Who Cried Wolf" kind of idea. And he's definitely well within his right to say that it was too much for him.
Well, the layout looked ok to me, but then it's been fixed now. The pictures looked fine to me, nothing fancy or new but fine anyway. Getting bogged down with the language hurt it, but I'd still say just barely a 7 from what I read. |

Yuck.
As a long-time Majesty fan, this turned me off. Your strategy was... Sort of sound. My main gripe was Gnomes. Where were your gnomes? Dwarves suck up cash like a vacuum cleaner, dude, and gnomes are as cheap and plentiful as dirt. Far better builders, too. Easy to get, easy to maintain. Absolutely neccessary on harder games.
Like I said, please, next time, pick a harder game. Vampires are wimps from mid-game on -- one healer and a warrior can kill it. Furthermore, you got the wrong tech tree. Krolm, dude! Krolm can take out the hardest difficulty on it's own. If that isn't your style, get Krypta and a level 3 Fergus for bear power. The "good" tech tree is nigh worthless -- paladins and monks quail before the might of Warriors of Discord, the toughest melee fighters in the game, and Barbarians, the most powerful unit at all levels except Wizards which don't get strong until level five.
Healers are nice. I'll grant you. But they, alone, are not worth giving up the Priestesses, which a.) summon a skeleton army of vast size, b.) are as strong as Vampires and finally, c.), can control vampires at high levels. Healers will keep your grunts alive, yeah, but they won't do anything else. And as a plus, with Krypta, you get Fergus -- summons an animal army and is a decent mid range fighter, especially at level 7 and up.
Strategy aside, I have gripes about your actual report, too. Images were awful. I don't care if you have MSPaint or whatever, they were grainy and nigh illegible. The hard-coding was bad at first, but with WHG's generous help, it's fine now. Your writing was fine, except for one tiny, tiny detail -- you swore all the time.
Swearing is fine by me. It can be funny. But when you beat people over the head with it like that, it's just plain annoying. And, more importantly, it isn't funny.
So, to sum up, next time, play a harder game with better strategies. Gnomes and a good temple choice. Make your pictures better. Swear less. Use your humor as a rapier, not a club.
I'm going to give this a 6. Didn't strike me as a gold report.

I don't want you to take this the wrong way.
You have a totally annoying style. The words, the repetetive humor, the !!!1 and gg that everyone has seen are like having a friend that won't shut up about Invader Zim. This made me skim over much of the report.
Awful pictures, blah blah blah.
But I'm looking forward to another report. This would be gold if it were more polished. Making reports on different games is what should happen more often. (HAY GUYZ 1v1 PvT ON LT I'LL BET YOU HAVEN'T SEEN A REPORT LIEK MINE BEFORE OLOL)

lol i always hated WC3. SC however, will never get old.
Anyway, the main problem i have with ur writing is your (maybe im wrong but..) burning desire to be accepted as a NH. it seems as tho you use those old phrases like 'halp meh' excessively (i noticed it more in ur first report). i think its always best to write normally with just a touch of humor. if you're not a funny guy, dont try to be one or copy the over-copied phrases.
The pics were decent, just try to spice em up a bit.

| I don't think I can make a Majesty report on the difficulty suggested, its too hard to try to report it and play it at the same time plus it relies so much on luck and not skill. I may either need to do it on a low-end expert or keep doing advanced, or do a different game entirely. |

The problem with playing a game without replays is "doing it in the moment" as it were. That's why SC make observer slots.
What I would suggest is that you take notes. Go for a image-minimal BR -- whenever something happens, pause and write it down. Put a sticky note on your moniter saying, in bold, scrawled letters: "Take screenshots!" Fill up your HD with 'em. It's a mess to crawl through, but it guarantees you'll get some. Or just remember (hopefully) to take SS of cool stuff. Majesty is easier to do this in because you don't control your heros, only base and reward flags. |

Well I said I was going to rate this later and since you made another report I'd better get on it. First off though if you read comment #8 you'll see that JV fixed your report not me. I just made an alternate. Anyway onto the report itself.
The report was decent but could've been better. The pictures were mostly grainy and the text in them was usually illegible. As was said before the swearing could've been cut back a little.
I did like the octopus part and the great exploration was interesting to see. Its good to see different games reported on and this was an interesting change.
I'll give it a 6, could've been a 6.5 if there was the option now. |

I like it I like it! I just got the demo today and there is only one word for this game. OWNAGE! I think the jokes were good but the swearing was not cool. One or two swear words, I can deal with. But that many? Uh uh. This was my favorite part:

Putting the Marketplace in the next safest area (under the second guild) I scrolled upwards to find a delightful suprise at the tip of my base, a vampire has come to drink tea and play with my Star Wars action figures, and he brought a few of his skeleton friends too. But I'm a little more prepared this time, and under a gangbang of swords and "HUMPH!"'s, the pasty little vampire turns to dust. As for his cohorts, one of them got bored and wandered off, and a xylophone (or however the fuck you spell that) was made of the other.

Now that was funny. But, iif you had made it "(or however the hell you spell that)" It would be even better. Feck, on the other hand, is ok. I think it's a good idea to use that where you would use you know what. (read ender's War of the Ring BR for feck usage lessons) Well, I gotta get off or my dad is gonna come in with a proverbial assault rifle and drag me to bed.
