Fear not, I am here to save the day. =P
First off, good text-only. It was very descriptive and interesting to read. Your discussions of strategy were useful for me in understanding what you were thinking.
You still had a few really minor errors (but errors none the less) that better proofing would've picked up on. "top-right island", "SCVs...creating a perimeter of cannons" (ok, thats really minor), "carious states of damage" ('various' I assume).
Still I enjoyed this report a lot so I'll give you this very shiny 9. (So pretty...)
P.S. I noticed you were so confident that we would know it was Lost Temple that you didn't note what map it was until the second half of the report. I suppose most of us can figure it out easily enough but still. |

Great report, but . . .
Frankly, here it is. It's a text-only about a TvP on Lost Temple. That alone really hinders your report, I must admit. The writing was good except for a couple ommissions, like Lag mentioned.
As it is, I'll give you an 8. |

Ah, grasshopper, you fell to the other extreme.
In your last report, the ending was nearly all pictures, a "slideshow" as you called it. That was not good, because it cramped your excellent writing.
In THIS report, you had no pictures at all. This is not good, because it is nigh impossible for even a very good writer like yourself to convey every nuance of a battle scene without run on sentences and six paragraphs for a minor skirmish. A picture is worth a thousand words, and as cliche as that sounds, it's true.
Now, this doesn't mean that you need fiftybillion screenshots with hot photoshop skillz. For really big battles, or just cool scenes, snap a screenshot, crop it, and add a border. Bingo! You have a good screenshot. Just five or six in that report would be great.
Secondly, there were a couple of grammar and spelling mistakes, as well as typos. While not report-ruining, since there were few, but they were still there.
Now for the good stuff. Your writing style is great, and reminds me of AQD3's stuff. You do an excellent job of describing why you did something, and why your enemy did something. You keep the viewer's attention throughout the report.
The game was good, too, as I was not certain who would win until he took the island from you. And even then, there were points where I had to reconsider my position.
In closing, excellent report with two flaws; no pictures where they are needed, and the occasionally mistake.
I give you a 9. |

Am I dreaming? Two great Raider reports in just as many days?
This really goes to show how much a game matters in a report - definetly one of the best games I've read about in a loooong time; like eld said, you kept us totally in the dark and I was actually surprised that zero pulled it through in the end.
Terran drops are the bane of my existence - they're super effective in very little time (both tanks and vults rape peons so quickly) and mines/turrets threaten to make them permanent strongholds. You did a much better job of clearing them out than I tend to :)
Definetly learned something from the report (again), and thus, it's well worth the 9. |

I was hoping you were going to pull back, but too much to ask I guess... I hate terran when the player has ~10 facs pumping tanks and gols, especially when they're upgraded and I have carrier ^^
dweb could have helped quite a bit in this game... especially with his mass-turret gayness and mass gol. I'm sure you've seen some players go goon/dweb before. :) |

Good report. You know a report has really good text when there's no part of the game skipped over. I also enjoyed the details put in (upgrades, etc). Also good job writing from the point of view of what you knew in game, not using the replay to give us information before you knew it. Funny, you took forever to mention it was LT and I never wondered :).
8 or 9. With no grammar errors, mentioning the map early, etc., it would definitely be a 9. But hey, I liked the section headings. |
