Kek, you asked for advice, so here's my thoughts. I don't play terran much, but my PvT is fairly strong, so atleast I know what I lose to :)
Infantry vs. toss in the long run isn't the best idea for starters. P just have so many things that deal with m&m so well; HT's, Reavers - even DTs. And ranged goons do quite well against them. If you infantry, it's because you rush him, maybe with a bamboo rush (i think its called -.-) where you hurry to a few tanks, a few vults with mines and 5-6 infantry and scvs. This is quite strong against P early on, and will win you games right there. Keep your vulture micro up, place mines behind the goons etc - repair the tanks. A good way to put pressure on a toss early on.
Generally, vultures are your friends. Mines tear through a lot of protoss units, and with their incredible speed and 20 damage, they're perfect for probe killing runs. Almost always cost effective at 75mins a pop.

Ling: Thanks, for the eight and the advice.
BlueRibbon: Meh, I didn't have much time. It went with the color scheme of the images anyway.
It was rushed, because right now I am rushed. I'm going to lose access to my computer for ~5 days, so I wanted this out before I left. |

Use terran imbalance. On temple and adjacent positions like in Game 2 here - use the proximity to push across the gap into his base with plenty of turrets and well spread out tanks. Incredibly frustrating for the protoss once it's underway, and will cost him a great deal to break. Once you have 5 tanks and 6-7 turrets, just slowly push forward.
Try to play offensive - defensively. Get his natural ledge, turret it up, push across gaps and put tanks to maximum use. You'll lose in a straight fight with ranged goons and speedy zeals in the center in you push out too early.
Scouting expansions as terran couldnt be easier: one vulture will do fine, and remember to put down mines where the nexus goes. You'll know when he expands and he'll need to bring an observer all the way from his main.

About the report, I liked it because it was clearly focused on you learning something. Almost took me back to those AQD3 ladder games ^^. Starcraft when it's at its best.
You broke your css:

line-height: 180%
h3 {color: #F5F810};
Need to close the line-height tag ;)
Like you already noticed while i was busy writing novels inside br.com comments, 8.

EE, I can teach you. Take my hand.
Ling has some good ideas. My advice is to keep in mind that protoss can't win control to control. They have to outnumber a terran to win or go carriers. Containment is a good policy, so is keeping 4 dropships full of tanks and golaiths ready to lay down at any expos that crop up. Focus on securing your nat, mineral only, and then creep along the side of the map to the next min only, and take an island, ect. Never stop building vultures, and try to scan and kill obs with your golaith. Many protoss players skimp out on observers because later in the game terrans dont mine as hard. |

Sorry I didn't leave a longer comment before, but I was a little rushed since I was over at FlavorOfYellow's house. Overall I liked it a lot; some of the humor was wasted on me, but you had me smiling through most of it. Perhaps your best joke was the "However, I'm not bad, just having a streak of bad luck...My Terran is pretty good, I like to think."
Good report, and have a good vacation ^_^ |

Good Game EE. That was a very skilled Protoss player but when you say that he played Protoss like his Zerg its because your letting him. As a Terran you must make a Toss fight for every expansion or utterly destroy them as they come.
As I Toss I know that if I can get more then 1 expansion that has gas I'm set for winning the game. Toss without gas is nothing. They need it very, very badly.
Was a good read and I picked up a few hints and tips from it. Thanks for sharing your mistakes! See you on B.net.

| Nice. Advice: Usually you should fast expo TVP, since P expos like a whore. You need to keep him from taking a main, protoss like to do that within 10 minutes, they move their forces to the middle and take a main, try vulture dropping or something to keep him on his toes. On TVP, just power metal. I usually 1 fact expo unless he's 3 gateing, but getting an expo before him usually means you can push him, i would do 1 fact expo, adding 4-5 more facts once your expo is up. TVP you can never hide in your base or he will take the map in 20 minutes. P with more than 2 bases = GG |

Hey man, good report. I am going to go ahead and be devil's advocate here and talk about infntry-based strat PvT. I am one of those people who got Heartcutter's deep6 to work for them TvP. Read some of his reports if you haven't already and see what he says about it.
Metal is definitely more reliable and more versatile, yet there are times when deep6 is a good way to go and surprise toss. There is only one thing. You have to be pretty good at clicking. You HAVE to be able to stim, scan, lock down a bunch of shit in 2-3 seconds. Oh and you have to be able to predict storms and dance your rines against it. This is pretty tough, but it can be done. EMP temps before an attack if you want to have an easier time. D matrixed vessels are really nice at that :) |
| #25 Raider[148334] |
| AMontsouris-103-1-2-241.w81-50.abo.wanadoo.fr |
| One more thing to keep in mind is that when you first attack, A LOT of your shit is going to die. If you are playing a decent toss, your first few attacks are going to get stomped. In fact, toss will often think he is kicking your ass. I have had some offer "gg" to me after my first few waves bit the dust. But don't let up and keep your attacks coming. He WILL break, and then your infantry will become and ever-growing juggernaught. Then you own him because guess what, temps coming out of gates can't storm you, meaning he will be reinforcing with fighting units when you hit his bases, and your upped infantry will eat those for breakfast. |

| AMontsouris-103-1-2-241.w81-50.abo.wanadoo.fr |
Also, once you decide to go infantry, you have to limit toss to 2 gas mines max. That way he will have to pick his tech. No mad reaver/temp/carrier combos that will own your infantry. He will have to pick one, and that you can deal with. This means expansion kill is your main objective. As long as you match him in money, you should win.
He may have a huge army sitting in the center, but it is useless at defending expansions.
Give it a try, it worked for me. It's not a strat to do every time, but look for opportunities to hit the toss with an infantry drop or attack and launch into your deep6 campaign.
It's a surprise strat. Have fun with it. |

I am too a struggling Terran player. In this cruel world of Zerg macro and toss tech it is difficult, however unless you plan on winning the game early by a rush, infantry is never a good idea. Its just not practical esspecially in TvP. Ghosts can be helpful late game but if you heavy metal hard, hopefully it won't come to that. Well theres my two cents. Enjoy.

| snufa, tvz, infantry is the most commong strat, so I am not sure what you are talking about there about winning with a rush. TvP Infatry is viable as a surprise strat. Many toss are slow to get their templar with storm and if you spot them going heavy goon, infantry/tank will do very nicely. If he goes heavy goon and expands, there is no reason why your infantry should lose. |
| #30 ProXy[cF][148362] |
| ca01-ch02-bl03.accel.atl.earthlink.net |
The only reason people don't go infantry much vs P is storm and reavers. The only thing that can stop a medarine + bat attack is cannons in the early game. Bats and medics with rine support eat zealots alive. However, Marines are incrediblely easy to storm because they stand still while attacking from a distance, and of course there are reaver.
I always recommend metal vs P 1v1. On 2v2s i love using infantry drops to surprise P since 2v2s are played differently. |

| I like to think My TvP is fairly strong but i just started playing again for the first time in 3 weeks:P so im might be a lil rusty.( just wait zerg~ling ...muahahahahha, gg btw) anywayz M&M is fine but usually doesnt work:( The best way to do it is to block anywayz to hide barracks and hope to hell they went fast obs tech or reaver cause u should attack before they have it and they probably wont have enough goons to defend:/ anywayz Marine SCV rush works much better, probably about 70 percent of the time cause toss doesnt usally expect it. if M&M doesnt work, being the gosu player u are, u have a fact already building cause storm and reaver is GG for u:D anywayz i didnt actually READ the thing yet, just looked at the pics so i should probably do that right now;) i shall be back....... |

Nice Job EE, tho not as funny as the few EV:N reports I read. (I decided to stop before reading all of them as that would take me like 2+ hours) You have more talent and def. more practice than I do. Keep it up! I like hearing about good Terran games as I could use tips/practice using them. I am thinking about doing a BR on an old game of Slayers_Boxer that I found online.
Well anyway, w/ Terran I like Wraith support until toss gets smart and makes observors, but this guy sounds good. M&M&F drives me crazy but against a good Toss player Metal is probably more effective. Use more SV's! I'm not that good a player so listen to the others first, they have good advice. again, gj and goodluck writing more SC BRs.

Ransom: He had observers right away. All good toss get Obs vs Terran.
Like Proxy[cf] said, Toss has too many counters against infantry. And I didn't have enough gas to use SVs effectively that game.
