Can a no-pic fanfic get a gold rating? We shall see...
For those of you who think that I've gone off the deep end, I'll eventually post another AAO report (once I get a good game), but I wanted to a) See if fanfics work and b) If they do and this is a good report, to provide a model for later work.
Now I can finally get around to writing that lab report due tomorrow... |

| 1st non author i hope! and tempus yes a no-pic fanfic can get a gold rating, look at rater dref seb's old fanfics of random stuff that everyone loves because of its twisted uniqueness, and check out my favorite, citizenKane's old reports. He wrote 11 parts of a sweet fanfic called Journeys which hasn't been finished to this day. Here he paints a mysterious storyline that keeps the readers in constant suspense. He had all 8's and 9's on this fanfic series except for one 7 on part7 which is still gold. so yes its very possible. |

wow...this might be the highest I've ever posted on a comments section. I don't count the random stop in after a night on the town at 4am. seriously, what was I doing on a starcraft website? shit...back when it still WAS starcraft. ah well, you can dream, right?

| As for the report, if i was a rater i would give it a solid 6. I didn't intend to read it at first since i'm not a star trek fan, but since you sat through my crap and constructively critiqued it, i owed you the favor. I found pasword, comupter, confortable were all typo spelling errors(i'm sure there's more if i looked close enough) which could of been spotted with any spell check just paste the report on word once to let the automatic spell checker kick in. I liked the descriptions and dialogue but i found the plot rather boring i see too many similar plots of main characters getting captured by an opposing force. The characters all seemed too similar, maybe in later parts you should elaberate more on their individual personalities. Definitely worth continuing, though, good job. |

Not bad. While Star Trek really isn't the best subject for a fanfic, the writing was crisp and clean.
The Wise One gave you good advice. I rate 6.5-7. |

More characterization, huh? Coming right up!
As to the errors, I find that odd. I manually proofread this, and, although I may have missed a thing or too, I should have gotten it relatively clean. I'll check it again.
Seriously, though, have any of you seen The Undiscovered Country? The plot will thicken in part II, and (as a small spoiler) this is a story of how Sulu and the Excelsior stumble on the conspiracy of VI in its early stages, but through the actions of the same conspiracy, never get wind of what's really going on. |

| 5 or 6 errors. That curse of always missing your errors unless you either a) read a hard copy aloud, or b) have someone else read it for you :( |

| Good, but most the advice has been given. Deeper personalities, histories, etc. Star Trek isn't one of the things I particularly like, but this was enjoyable. |
