Really enjoyed the game, and the SHAKLING! Really well written, I was never left behind even in the big shakling battles and it was a very close game. I'm impressed with the way you went into the strategies you were thinking about throughout the whole match.

An awesome 9!

(Just to please Slotham :D)

I liked it. The only thing I can really critique would be the purple font- by the end it sort of hurt the eyes. Please keep making more!

Booya! Augury is back.

Excellent work, the game was spectacular, and shackling fucking owns ;o

I've only got two gripes with it; purple text. Whatever. Oh, and the mini-grid backgrund makes it harder on the eyes to actually read the text, which was, amazing ;o

Great report. My fav matchup is hu vs hu simply because you have to rely on your mirco more than anything else. The battles also go on for a heck of a time too because of heal, and holy light. plus the fact that human units have a very high amour rating.

Thanks for the comments and the rating, guys!

Smeagol: Yeah, I'm busy sometimes, heh.

About the font/background: I decided to go for something different than my previous near white-black color schemes (which I like, and I will probably use something simliar next time I BR). So I attempted to match the background with the brown/green color of Lost Temple. Problem was, I couldn't find a text color that could read well on it so I eventually settled on what I thought was dark blue (like the water) but apparently is purple ;-)

This is a textbook example on how I think reports should look like. Strip the humor in preference of details.

(note. "how I think" mouhaha! you can't say I'm wrong :-)

I don't play wc3 online at all, so usually I don't understand all the small details (hey, he forgot a tome... n000b! = my definition... very roughly :-). I can honestly say I learned a lot from this report. I'll probably look a lot different on replays from now on.

Oh, right... GJ, and keep em comming just like this one, plz!

An impressive battlereport. I'd say it deserves an 8.7. I agree with both Ling's and FLS' comments. Good work :)

well done, most certaintly not as well done as ur last one. i personally think that if you had included an ending, your last one far outshined this one. The description in the last game was good, and I like a writer who is willing to take a bias againt a player (in this case tweakachu, who is quite an accomplished soloist) Still, good job. I thought it was a little short, the game a little lacking, battle scenes went like "shackle, countershackle" etc, kinda boring. Deserving of a 9 nevertheless.

Wow...all you guys who hated me for the comma splice thing are REALLY gonna hate me now...

I didn't enjoy this as much as your last one, and I think I know why: all the way through the first half of the report, I didn't like the writing. You had a lot of grammar/comma errors, and the syntax of some sentences confused me more than anything else. Primarily, I noticed that you don't have a good grasp on using commas to join clauses. _If you join two complete sentences with a conjuction, you have to have a comma before the conjunction_ For example: "I did this, and he did that." If they aren't complete sentences, don't use a comma. "I worked and slaved all day long." See the difference?
#23 livingexception[146673]
129.252.135.109
Also, you used far too much passive voice in the first half of the report. Is/am/are/was/were/to be verbs, used exclusively, do not create effective writing. Trust me on this; I used to rely on passive voice to, and forcing myself to use action verbs really improved my writing. I know that they do sound better in some situations, but most of the time, active voice does make the writing more entertaining.

I liked the format, and the pictures you did include, though few, really did the job. I don't think you could do much better with that (if it looks like a Ling report, then maybe Ling really did hit on effective format, no?). But this report needed a wall to wall proofing on the writing.

Of course, at the end of the day, I don't have the rater password. So take my comments as you will. I'll be happy to proof for you anytime, though, cause I think you have wonderful potential. I really, really do.

haha, livingexception, you want to proofread my english stuff? the stuff you say is exactly what my teacher reiterates to me over and over again. And I have a grammatical question, how would you rephrase a statement like "He is a nice person," I understand "is" is a passive tone, how would you make it an active verb.
#25 Augury[146675]

Hm, I'll have to play more attention to proofreading then. So far I've just read over my reports looking for spelling errors ><.
#26 livingexception[146676]
129.252.135.109
Sorry, I only offer to proofread stuff that'll make it onto this site. But, to correct that, think of the things he does to be nice. "He always manages to cheer us up with his kindness and consideration." Now doesn't that sound so much better than "He is a nice person?"

I don't see what's wrong with passive voice. While I certainly don't recommend using it to replace active verbs all the time, my teacher has the same gripe I do: microsoft word seems to regard passive-voiced sentences as the work of the devil.

Nice report. I like your strategizing. And the action. So much action! That's how Warcraft 3 should be played. Good job on such a comeback. Sacrificing an expansion because you can't defend it is never an easy call, even if it is the right one. Good work on an entertaining read and watch.
