Anyway. This easily blows my reports out of the water, in my opinion. I can't equal this mastery of photoshop. The page-style really flowed well and the writing was good as well. I look forward to the next one! Good job.

You can't make a report on "so i boarded this guy, 500k, then i boarded this guy, 100k". The whole pirate thing was more a personal hype I got when I first boarded the first few ships and found it a) more lucrative and b) a lot more exciting than running shit for the U.N. :o |

hmmm . . .
The pictures were extremely good, really a pleasure to the eye. The writing was good as well. The humour wasn't that great, however. Also, you completely skipped the storyline, which is really the fun part of any report. The plotline basically consisted of you running around killing things with a manticore :(. Plus it was very short.
So, in all honesty, I don't think this is worth the highest gold. I'd say something like an 8.4, so I'm going to rate down a tad in the hope that someone else will rate up :)

I want to get another report out but I've recently moved and I'm waiting for my computer and I also have to get cable connection. LinG, your reports fit a lot easier through cable, it's damn hard work shoving those kickass pics through a phone line...
It was too short and hence not involved enough so from my high and mighty perch of heavenly and divine standing god degrees this report to be an 8. Would have been a lot higher had the length and depth been there. GG |

Hey, I like this new format.... a lot. Feels like reading a book instead eye-hurting scrolling. 't Is true though that the EVN story gets a bit repetitive, seen a couple reports that all start at the beginning of the game. This one didn't, so GW. Were I a rater, I'd rate it.
BTW, am I mistaken or could this comment section be directly pasted into the warsmith forum. Only warsmith members methinks. |

Hmm, I knew that EV:N br's had been done quite a bit before, and I was definetly aware of it when I started, which is why I decided to make it different than the others, namely NOT starting at the "start", and adding the pirate perspective.
Thing is, there's a long way from idea to actual report.
The formatting/page-style was my own favorite thing, it allowed for dramatic text/image combinations, and a book-style instead of the scroll fest of every other report.
While I can't write anything like Eldritch, I'll innovate the graphics instead :) *HINT HINT* |

I liked the panel format. One thing that seemed slightly discontinuous, however, was the change from being a Pirate to being a soldier for Heraan. Having played the game, I well understand what it meant, but I don't know if the general public would follow it so easily.
Anyhow, even if that is a flaw, it's a minor one. Great report. |
