Can anyone tell me how to use a tiling image as a background for a br? I tried to do a space, starry type one from backgroundcity.com, (hence the silver font) but obviously it didn't work.

| Woo, the second time around I managed to complete a mission, then just before I got to the completion of a second mission I stumbled into a battle and was blown to bits by a million angry fighters :(. I bought a heavy shuttle though and got a second blaster for it - didnt help me much. Just how far does this shareware go anyway? |

Heh, it goes on for a while. You can access all storylines, but each of them has an unregistered cutoff. You cannot capture ships, you cannot use plugins, and you cannot buy some ships.

| okay Im way to far out of the game to be giving html advice at this point and way to lazy to relearn but I will tell you what you have to do to help yourself. First off, always always use fileread. Now, you need to look at some past reports that used funny backgrounds, I typically used CrackHeadJeb's reports for reference. Next right click on his report and hopefully you have a view source option somewhere...some people might have to do more to get the source code. Next scroll down until you get through all of the battlereports.com stuff. Theres a lot of it--just to warn you. Now just look at what they did and adapt your html appropiately. If I'm not mistaken your background's not working should have something to with it not being within a table tag. For some reason you need to put in table tag's to get it to work. |

I can't do BR's due to my near non-existant HTML Skills, but I damn well know how to play EV:N. To get licenses, you go to Earth (In the Sol system for the mentally challenged), and go to the outfitter. Licenses are at the bottom, and, after purchase, proceed to purchase ship/weapons.
BTW, if I ever find out how to make a BR (AKA, non half-assed reports), I'll make one. |

What's really funny is that in these 40 comments only a few actually have criticism/comments on the writing style. :D
anyway, slotham, to answer your questions:
1) You get rid of them by clicking on them, "talking" to them, and click on the "Release" button. Alternatively, if you want to get rid of captured escorts, you can sell them.
2) The turrets only fire if you've clicked on a target. Then when you press the fire button they'll automatically track the target. They won't fire "dumb" like a light blaster would. |
