1) This was was written at 3:30-3:45am to mention a fluke. Also I was going to introduce and copyright a section in BRs just for me, but didn't have anything to talk about in it, so it can wait!
2) I meant I stayed up all night considering build orders, what the protoss player teching to dtemps builds, how to get a quick attack off if you know he's makin dtemps (not on that map!), situations like dtemp drop, containment, etc. Really good and fun thing to do if you can't sleep :)

Just a few quick notes:

I was microing my Zealots like crazy that game. MT had all of his vital stuff covered by a close-in bunker or two, so I circled the base and hit what I could, where I could; including a stray pack of marines, a refinery, and a little damage to his barracks.

Also, I said 'YESSS' because the random gods chose not to curse me with my worst race, the Zerg. And I said that dragoons suck against marines because that darn explosive damage takes a few hits to knock 'em down. I'm not sure, but aren't marines cost-effective against dragoons? I tried it once; the marines won.

Comments to you

Comment) The wallin build was crappy. It is hard to cover all buildings and a choke with minimum bunkers. I got the idea of the wallin from Mark4 (not the idea of a wallin, but it got my brain thinking on how to do it :p) where you have a bunker covering one entrance to SCVs, forcing melee units to walk around buildings, and take more hits from the 3rd bunker (that in that game I constructed but never filled :p) , and they would've all been covered by a turret or 2 later in the game. blah blah blah. Actually, microing rines vs Zlots is FUN FUN FUN :) one time they targeted and SCV which really helped finish them off, haha.

Comment 2) Now, anyways, not going DTs is wise. Any terran can stop it with the right build and building placement, and if they know you're doin it they can take you out faster.

RAndom comment to anyone interested) I swear Terrans are my favorite race. Why, a horrible player like me chose and is determined to do the hardest race is beyond me. I also want to learn zerg and toss, but terran the most. don't ask me why, i actually hate challenges :)

Don't build bunkers... the moment you built all those bunkers the game was over=[
If you play defensive you lose...

One bunker... maybe 2... against a toss going major zeals a few bunkers are key cause rines die die die when it comes down to it. they need some other advantage over zeals and a bunker is a good defense struct. I believe that defense is vital to a good economy and without a good econ no offense is going to do any damage. The trully crazy one...

When I go Toss, my worst nightmare in the early-mid game is a dropship full of firebats on stim. Even on the ground they chew through zealots at an alarming rate. I can see one bunker and a turret for DT defense, but that would be it. You just can't guard the choke on that map effectively, but it can be a lethal place for an offensive cannon (like on Ashrigo).

Against a 'Toss I suggest you go EARLY acad for several reasons.

1. An early Comsat means more energy saved up for DT, or you can use it to scout on twisty maps (like the one you played on)

2. Bats with Medics WASTE Zealots.

3. Bats with Medics are cost effective against DT if you have detection.

4. If the protoss completely forgoes cannons, nothing rapes probes better than Firebats with stim. :)

Good luck fellow Terran! If anyone has anything to add, or correct, go right ahead!

Oh. By the way, I didn't notice the Comments link on the bottom 'till now. It sure saves time if you read 4-5 reports a day. Thanks Johnny!

Well, it's only 300 minerals for 3 bunkers, and most of the time I only put 1 or 2 rines in them if I need them for an attack or something, and if i desperately need more rines I can unload the bunkers and off my men go.

Well, maybe 3 bunkers is a lot, but it is nice to have a bunker covering a choke as well. I am still miffed as to why I chose Terran as my fav race.. they're damned hard right down to the building placement and crap. On no choke maps I'll definitely go 2 bunkers covering my peon line and as many buildings as possible, but still.. on maps like temple or rivalry if I've got some extra cash in the coffers and want something to build I could throw up a bunker.. but of course that bunker could just as easily be made at the opponents base to support a tank push or something. bleh :(

Let the record show the following:

I did not go 'hard' zeals. I sent my first six. Also, I was very careful to keep them out of bunker range. I produced more units with my gateways on hotkey. The objective of the zealot attack was to contain and to capitalize on most people's habit to throw attack units at an enemy force within their base as they come out, rather than massing a force. For example, MT threw each marine he produced at me as they emerged from the barracks. Since I refused to close with his bunker to hurt his economy, he could have massed his marines away from my attack and then taken my zealots out. His bunker was only ineffective because I avoided it.
