"I've never said this before about a player who loses to 8 probe drops but YRM=god"

Uhh, JV or Mark4, there is something wrong with the preview reports screen. I had to take out almost all the colored text, because when I hit the preview screen the colors were all off. Orange showed up as lime green, red as light blue, and others as well. Other than that, the preview screen is really handy.
#2 JSH[3435]
That was pretty cool, sounds like you ran into a halfway decent Terran. :)
#3 GoofBall[3453]
Ok, that last screenshot was cool. Dead marines make lots of blood. Blood is cool. I like blood.
#4 Dev[3466]
Small note: (I know I'm really gonna get laughed at for this but oh well)

Valkryies (yes, Valkryies) obliterate obscene numbers of wraiths in short order with little or no losses. I've taken a control group of them against two-and-a-half times their number in cloaked wraiths and lost all of two.

#5 Omnipresent[3474]
Dev is right. When I go terran vs terran and things start to turn into a wraith war I immediately start pumpin out valks. Valks in numbers of 6 or 8 just destroy wraiths, especially with more weapon upgrades. Also, terran wars usually involve tanks, wraiths, and ghosts, and not marines. I rarely make marine masses anymore vs terran because they always get slaughtered. Well, just my thoughts.

I appreciate the thoughts but I forgot to mention that that was Vanilla SC. That's why no medics or valks. I don't have Brood War. And the only reason I went mass marines is because he took both gas and mineral expnsions and held them, and I only had one extrs geyser. What gas I had I was forced to spend on Science Vessels. I definately could have used more tanks though. The problem was, he was very efficient at wraith harrasment. It seemed like every attack I mustered and every expansion I took was constantly harrased by wraiths. Thanks for the advice though.

Hey great report. With 2 of my favorite races.. =]
#8 MikeyMonty[3537]
Thanks, but damn it, now I know what I should have done - EMP. Would have knocked out cloaking long term. Oh well :)
#9 shockwave[3553]
Wow, nice BR, seems like both you and your opponent were very competent Terran players :-). Lots of variety in the strats used too, wow even early spider mines :-).

I love Challenger, I learned how to play SC on it and it offers a lot of unique advantages to Terran. The islands are close enough to mainland that you can siege across water with tanks, and those ledges are crippling for high siege drops. Wow it takes a lot of foresight to get a dropship, land an SCV on the ledge, and build 2 turrets just to prevent a tank drop :-).

Yes EMP is nice against wraith clusters, but who researches EMP against another Terran :-) ?

I was also surprised that your first marine rush worked as well as it did. I've always found TvT on Challenger to be a mad rush to tanks, since one bunker at a choke will take out numerous marines :-b. Then from there it usually becomes a question of who manages their tanks better as both players start their inevitable tank pushes to each others' bases...

I know, I was amaxed at the turrets. I was about to follow my wraiths with a cliff drop, but when I saw those turrets, I knew I was in for a hell of a fight.

I played a terran v terran on Challenger a few weeks ago. I decided on a light one bunker defense to hold of his M&M's while I got some quick vultures. My vultures behind my bunker ate his M&M's for breakfast. Anyway I decided to go straight to wraiths and skip tanks. He came at me with M&M's and tanks, but had to go through my mine field, so he was turret hopping and going slow. Anyway I ended up getting a couple tanks eventually for defense. I had expanded to the island, while I stopped him from doing the same with my wraiths. I killed off his M&M's with wraiths and my few tanks, then proceeded to destroy his defenseless tanks. Anyway.. My point is... Vultures play a vital role versus another terran.. Trying to stay alive just by using vultures for a short while will let you have enough gas for 2 starport wraiths, and even an expansion. Tanks can really burn your gas up, and slow you down a little. Get tanks eventually, but not if you can hold him off for a while without them!

Thanks for the advice. What really killed me was the turrets on the cliff, and his air superiority. He did to me what you did to your opponent, JV. Mines, took both islands, went hard wraiths. I think I learn a lot more by losing and asking for advice here then winning.

Nice report, but i can't see any of the screen shots. I dunno y, but just wanted u to know

I see that, something happened with my webspace, I got my account deleted cause of inactivity or something, I wasn't using enough space. The pics are gone, sorry. The last nuke shot was pretty cool too.
