It was _Ok_. It was evident that a lot of effort was put into it, but it seems like the writing only degraded from that fact. I personally prefer the "professional" style to this "standard internet n00b" style. It seems like there was no spell or grammar checking done, and a lot of it was rather childish (poke Dag in the eye). Don't get me wrong, it was a strong effort, but next time, cut the crap, and put that effort into making a proper loading screen.

Ok, this didn't turn out the way I wanted it.
The loading thing has a little button now that allows you too skip it. This is mainly here for the freaks that don't know how to read the text below and of course the loveable Mac ppl. who can't right click.
I couldn't run a spell check on this, since flash sux. Then whats a poor Dane to do?
My expectations to the rating of this has been somewhat downgraded but hey :) Hope the Dag poking could entertain some anyway :o I see it did the trick with Epoch.
Im gonna eat some comfort food, since this was the 4th time I uploaded the flash again, and it takes forever on my modem

| It's all good, but I don't really think reading should have to be an interactive experience like this. I'd be a lot cooler with the report if it was a big text thingamajig with occasional pictures. When the cool flashy tricks of a report take up more of your time than reading it, I'm not an advocate. I didn't end up finishing it because dealing with the whole facade just was so time consuming. My advice for NE - get priestess as secondary hero, make DH or KotG as primary. Priestess is good for starfall, but that doesnt make up for having crappy hero all early game. Dryads rock. Slow the knights, then micro the huntresses. Druids of the claw will give you nice strong tier3 units when facing knights or abominations and their spells are also awesome.
Get two heroes, focus on huntresses, dryads and druid of the claw and you will own.

She's no Demon Hunter, granted, but picking off weakened foes with a well-placed fiery arrow or three is as exhilirating for the Night Elf as it is frustrating to the enemy who's getting single-unit focus-fired into oblivion. WAR3 is a lot of fun.
Try to get an invulnerability(sp) or invisibility scroll/spell for when you cast starfall(can't see unit, can't attack unit with sleep.) I love to cast sleep or war hammer(mk hero) when someone is casting blizzard/starfall etc.

as for advice, night elves really only have archers and huntresses as staple attackers... and some of the most diversified spellcasters in the game. I dont know if you knew their race, but the keeper of the grove is really great versus any non-night elf race (well... maybe humans too) because most of his spells are pretty powerful against anyone not armed with an "abolish magic"-type spellcaster.
i guess the lesson learned here is diverse armies are better than any kind of massing... a nice blend of melee, spellcasters and ranged units works nicely.

Luckynewb: I can easily relate with everything you say. Since I'm a pretty young danish, my AMERICANOS isn't all that good. Usually I do a bit more of checking, but flash doesn't have a spell checker, and fixing mistakes is a bit harder in a flash movie.

You are not allowed to have invisibility and cast starfall, you'll go uninvisible when you cast it, it says so with the invisibility "You will become uninvisible or whatever if you cast any spells or attack anyone"... The only way you can I think is if you cast invisilibty with the sorceresses.
Unless you are allowed to use the item during starfall, I'm not sure though. |

| This report was very well done graphically. I understand that you can't use spellcheck in a flash application, but you can definately stop to read through it first. Reading would make a huge difference. The graphics were tops, but it seems like you spent far more time focusing on that aspect of your report, and didn't really bother with little things like details. Trying to use pictures to tell your story doesn't always get the point across. I know they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but sometimes you need those words to explain what the pictures mean to those who dont yet know the game very well yet. Good luck on the graphic design thing, though, as I said before, you definately do have talent there, and some of your other reports have been very well written, so keep up the good work. |

| most people believe that the undead lich is a worthless hero. I believe that the lich is often misused. With a Dreadlord Death Knight and ghouls and necromancers backing the lich up. The enemy army can be distracted while it Death and Decays the enemy Fortress/Caste/Black Citadel/ Tree of Eternity. For more deadly effect use either frost armor or anti magic shell on the lich. A Dreadlord can put enemy attackers to sleep if they pester the lich, while a death knight can repeatedly use death coil to keep the lich in good health. |

The druid of the claw costs so much in time and resources it is hardly worth building and in addition to having to be micromanaged extensively it doesn't match up with knights/tauren or abominations due to it's lower attack and hit points. The dryad, while strong, has a limited mana supply and thus is inferior to the spell casters it is supposed to counter. |

First of, im a newb at this game. But from my experience with night elves.
A good whisp push is fun. Get a group of whisps forward and transmute into the defence structures, in 5+ sizes along with backup fire this is an affective attack unite, though slow (hence move as whisps).
The druids with the heal spells can turn the tide of a battle, a few of them in bear form, and a few standards as a mix with the bear hero also makes an efficient meele core, for fair upkeep.
Then again im a newb, so if any of the above ideas dont fit what you like dont use it.
And mix the groups never been easier to use multiple spellcasters with the <tab> to switch between groups, having a few antispellcasters along for the ride allways cheers me up. |

Can't believe I missed this. Excelent work, not quite a 10 but bloody good.
As for some NE advice, Druids of the Claw are excellent late game choices for anti ground. Just upgrade them so they can morph into bear form, and they can stand up to knights so your ranged units can deal with them. Dryads are good for their slow/poison attack. |

| Mouseover was annoying because mouse had to be on the pictures, pictures were bad quality, writing was pretty bad, the fixed size was too small imo, i hate that raising and lowering of chains as much on the br as i do on b.net, i couldn't even read the whole thing ;[ |

Awesome report, although i have to say that the game really wasnt all that great. People you fought were medicore at best.
Ive been playing NE since beginning of beta, so i tend to at least know a little of what im talking about :-p , so ill give a few tips -
-DONT get priestess as first hero.. she is good support, but is too weak, and spells arent good as a starting hero... go with DH, or my fav Keeper, although keeper is a bit harder. |

-Massing hunts will only get you killed.... they have extremly poor damage, and they are ground only.....add a few druids of the talon (fearie fire and cyclone = own), with a few dryads on there, and you will be golden. Dryads arent used for damage, but rather for the slow poison and abolish magic.
-When fighting undead, and you know the have necros, bring along a few wisps... thats right, wisps. Their detonate will do 200 dam to summoned units, and dispel other magic in the area( ie sleep, unholy aura, inner fire).... good against necros and their skelles.

I play NE and even if i do suck(alot) i think the build with skipping the AoW and teching to toa early then going dryads and druids of the claw works well.
