- be creative
- add pix
- be good in grammer
- no auto-bios plz unless it has to do sumthin with the ppl playing (i mean all the players)
- black backgroudn w/ white fonts

To get a background in a report, you have to put the bgcolor=black in a table tag, _not_ the body tag (though you can change vlink, alink, link colours in it). Why is this? I have no idea, if it's in a body tag it conflicts with something else on the page.

Dont get sucked into the idea that you have to be a comedian to be a battle reporter, entirely not true. Battlereports can come in all shapes in sizes, they can be just informative(include a thesis-and support points with paragraphs). People use comedy as a way of getting interest, but there are other ways of doing this, try being dramatic, "the sweat dripped from my brow as I pondered my next move,"etc. Check around and see what other people have done to get a good idea of what to do.

Yeah. Some of my favorite reports have almost no humor. Most of AQD3's for instance.
For me, a report has to either:
1) Make me a better player by giving me tips and tricks, or at least strategic insight into how people play and why they choose their strategies, OR...
2) Make me laugh |

About the report, the big font was kinda nice on the eyes since it was black text on white BG. Try not to bash your report before people actually get a chance to read it.
Before the game started, you had already said its going to suck twice, that makes people not want to read it, let them decide if its going to suck. Ive seen a good amount of people post good reports first try (not many though). Try and give yourself a chance next time :) |

Last night I ended up getting the source code from one of the gold reports and then spending the extra 5 minutes needed to test out the only part of the code where the bg could be "Last time I tried that my "funny logic" got in the way, not to be confused with real logic) |

Leb, nice work on a first report; despite the obvious lil' blunders, the overall style was acceptable- keep trying. It's good to see someone with enough humility (humbleness?) to do a report on a game lost- I've been working on one myself, a 2v2 turned 2v1 that my buddy and I LOST, but I've yet to scrounge up enough time to get 'er done!
I'd like to play sometime, as long as you're doing BR's and interested (heck, I tell EVERYONE I'd like to play, just to LEARN!) - I'm on B-Net most Saturday nights as HarvKilljoy, always looking for games other than cash maps and those full of hackers- 'specially those damned SKILL HACKS. Tciao!
