fs storyline is alright, basically terran (human) vs vasudan in some giant war, then shivans come in and start kicking giant heeps of ass with lucifer (giant capitol ship) backing them, terran and vasudans ally to destroy shivans, insert a bunch of missions involving stemming the shivan threat before finally finishing the game with a sexy battle inside a warp hole
fs2 takes up where fs left off, now terrans push into shivan space to take them out...inside a nebula, once again insert much big battles involving exploration of shivan space before the appearance of a brand new giant capitol ship for the shivans pounds the hell out of the giant capitol ship for the terrans, insert more big battles before finally finishing with like 80 of the shivans giant capitol ships blowing up a star and creating a super nova |

| I really liked it despite not knowing anything about the game at all. Really good writing Dag. It could have used a few more pics, especially towards the end of part one, but the pure ownage of the writing gets a ten from me. |

| Hmm, I wasn't as much a fan of the writing itself but rather the action it depicted. There were lots of choppy sentences that made me stumble. But that's being nitpicky, its a good report, especially for being such a long game. Not a 10 though... :P |

I agree on the sometimes choppiness and the few gramatical errors....but he DID manage to get the action through extremely well. And if you look at the error to word ratio: errors = owned by huge ass report length ^^ |

| typically I'm shy towards br's on games ive never heard of before, but I decided to try to enjoy it anyway. I was very surprised that there are games out there that involve as much intensity as starcraft. The battle's sounded (and looked) pretty cool. Defineately a game i wouldn't mind playing. this report is worth a nine, but I'm sure it will get at least one ten. |

| FS2 is a real cool game. I have it. For those who have never played it, you basically have 3 classes of ships. You have fighters (Think X-Wing) And bombers, which are designed to kill the Capitol ships. The capitol ships are basically really big boats lined with massive ammounts of turrets and guns. your role is of course, fighter or bomber. There are a ton of lasers, plasma guns, missles and bombs to choose from and stuff. Excellent game, although I never got a chance to play it online, which would be fun. I would definitely give this BR an easy 10. ^^ |

| great report man, i wasn't finished reading part 1 tho! It disappeared? Since i can't find it, i'll just comment here to. Great report man, I havn't played this game in a long time, and only once online (MUCH worse comp AND 56k connect at the time, i'll probably reinstall it when i'm finished w/ icewind dale tho ;))), 1 of the few game's ive finished and I loved every minute of it. Also have freespace 1, i got the Sim of the Year version of FS2, which comes with a SECOND campaign, which is sweet. Great report, it's always the quality reports on random games that remind me to reinstall them :). |

I think the game BR'ed was of FreeSpace 1, not FreeSpace 2, as the link on the main page said...
Anyway, I just got into FS2 a week ago, and I must say it is just one of the best games ever made.... It's going in my collection of GODLY games... (Starcraft, CounterStrike, FreeSpace2)... The campaign missions are fun, and there are many more individual missions and additional campaigns for download online, made by different players. The story line is pretty engrossing, and the graphics, even though they are two years old, are still incredible...

ya dude, crank all the options up and just stare... that's what I do :D , when I first saw a shivan lilith-class i about pissed my pants! .... and the GT-Aquitane is godly as well (aka "boston" in the report?) I love that game...
as for 56k multi-play , don't bother :). It can get quite laggy if even 1 person doesn't have a very good cable+ connection. The game is very taxing the more people you have, you could probably do some kind of 2vscomp or somethin like that, but from my experiences it is next to impossible. But hey, everyone is different right? :) |

| I'm glad that SOMEONE can play on-line, as I've necer been able to. BTW, there id no such thing as a Tarsonis-class Cruiser, but the one's you were talking about were Cain's. My favourite loadout in FS1 is a Hercules with a Prometheus and a Banshee, with Interceptors and Hornets. |

Also, the reason most of you haven't heard about the game is because it's one of those games that are among the best of the best, but don't sell...
I'd kill for FS 3... and maim for Silent Threat. |
