I noticed this in someone else's report not long ago, but it's in yours too: at the beginning, it was done with one style in mind, but as the game (and report) progressed, there were more and more speech bubbles and forced jokes. Pick one style and stick to it. lol
If you want My opinion, I liked the more serious, tactical parts better than the speech bubbles and stubbed toes and loudmouths. I love the layout though, and the movie was well-done, by the way.
Remember that your reports can have personality in them without loading in trite jokes. :P |

Actually, the song isn't editted at all.
I had a great splice of it n.- It played the beginning, and then the end (without the middle), and even I had trouble noticing where I spliced it.
unfortunately, it was way too long.
The song is called 'Points of Authority' as the mp3 file name, but the title header reads 'Vertical Limit'. Don't ask :P |

There hasnt been a ten in a little less than a year, and this is one i'd smack a ten on. Unfortunately, ~CattleBruiser~'s java report got a "9," so sadly, you must accept one too.
Good writing, best I've seen here since prae, but with funny elements reminding me of williamwc3. Borders could use some help.
Oh yes, and an "end game" is the ultimate goal in a campaign or some other huge undertaking, not the end of a game (english rocks).
Make more, I haven't found a single report you made that i didnt like. Gosu!

Hahaha... Love the contrast. I thought the speech balloons were very entertaining. Yeah, maybe some of them were corny, but I really did enjoy them overall. Your writing was exceptionally good, and you integrated the advisors and backstory in a wholly unobtrusive fashion. My only complaint is that your reporting got rushed towards the end, at what probably should have been the most interesting part of the battle--the comeback from the islands. Lots of crucial details were glossed over there.
The 9 is well-deserved, I think. Good work. |

w00t! You show really great potential. I was very torn between giving it an 8 and a 9, cause of the text bubbles which, though nostalgic, were corny =[. Good text bubbles would have certainly warranted a 9, easy. It's just that . . . even tho you went through the trouble of making it on geocities for my own personal viewing ( muahaa ) . . . I have real problems giving this a 9. On the other hand, the intro movie was oan . . . this is tough =O.
I do believe I would have easiy given this a 9 in the past. Hm . . . ya I'll rate a 9 =]. Not by any stretch of the imagination on the basis of what "Lucky" said tho . . . ( Lucky, who is Patton? )

Godly first report. 9.
Things I liked:
Advisors, although they could be more serious next report.
Minimaps everywhere, made the game very clear.
Flash intro.
Speech bubbles in pictures.
The great game.
Things I feel could be toned down:
The jokes. I liked the style of listening to a narrator along with his (her?) advisors who are at the same time the straight-men to the comedy and an aid to understanding the strategy in the game. Unfortunately this somewhat broke down when jokes invaded the inner sanctum.
The few minor spelling mistakes that were made ("Tanks, get down their" for example).
BTW, how is "asdf" pronounced? :)

Great job! I thoroughly enjoyed your report. Sure, maybe the speech balloons were kind of cheesy, but they were cheesy in a good way, and they made the report fun to read. They didn't strike me as forced.

I missed one thing, a few more pictures of the map about half way trhough the report.. a lot was happening but i didnt have any map to watch =(
