Or instead of reading about how to play, one can practice humility and SC and the same time by playing someone better than one's self.
I loved to read all the tactics by Agent911, Heartcutter and such. But since 1.08 I've learned much more by viewing replays of my close games and losses.
It feels sucky, but some of my favorite games were when I got schooled and my eyes were opened to a new strat or ability. It it's much more applicable than reading about strats IMHO.
But I digress....gl with your guide. |

| I agree. These strats weren't very good either. 1 gate 1 reaver isn't mediocre, it's shit. I actually learned a new strat about two weeks ago. I thought I knew em all, but obviously there are more. Some guy built a bunker in the front of my base, while i was fighting it off, then he stayed determined with that bunker (even bringin up backup scvs) and started filling marines in it, and repairing. I've definetally seen marines fill bunkers, and scvs repair em, but that's usually for defence. Twas a neat attack, and rathar effective. |

| Typical Terran Offensive Bunker. Love the strat, but very difficult to implement. I'm wondering, is it a strat that is trying to win early, or is it just used as a delay so that the player can get a better strat going, while keeping his opponent on the defensive? I know that both are possible, but which is most common? |

Usually as a delay since you really can't expect to catch a good player with this.
See, most toss players goon rush vs a terr and you can't realistically expect to have 3+ marines in the bunker before it gets walked over by 2-3 goons. Plus you need detection for DT and base defense since some players just let it be, rush to shuttle with 4 DT's and rape you.

I find that the best players I know dont use any particuler strats. They just kinda go with the flow, and know what to do when. Im like that with protoss and zerg, but with terran i gotta use strats pretty much, ran just feels unnatural to me, though im half decent with them.
