I vaguely remember that game, I didnt even recognize it until the drop part aqua did. I don't think the game was really even close after zerg failed the lurker attacks, i know i woulda had a time with it (im terran player too :[), but it did pretty bad. :[

The line breaks after all the coloured names was rather crappy, but overall not bad. With some more practice, and learning a bit more html, you could be producing regular golds.

I don't know what the hell you were doing with those line breaks. Instead of using <span style=...>, just use <font color="blue">name</font> or <font color="#0000ff">name</font>.
I really didn't like this report at all. I didn't like the writing style: it was difficult to follow, especially when half of the sentences were broken across paragraphs. There were many spelling errors, capitalization errors, and run-on sentences, which annoys me to no end.
The style of the report could also have been a lot better. A different font would have been nice, and white on black is very boring. Maybe bold for the player names, too.

Graphics... again, you had the HTML problem with line splitting. Sometimes a picture would be at the end of a line with no break, causing the sentence to be split across the page. There was also one picture at the beginning of a line, which made the first word of the sentence pushed over to the far edge of the screen. The graphics could also have been more creative. Collages, borders, etc, are thx.
The single thing that annoyed me most was your stuck up attitude at the beginning and through most of the report. That made me want to flame it and not read it. In my opinion, you should lose at least one rating point for that.
Overall... it was almost like it was a good report... but it really wasn't. 4. |

hmmm first off purple sounded prt good to me. u didnt say if he scouted or not so how should he know lucky was getting lurks? anyways, u need to learn the <br> tag better. You used it in all the wrong places and not where u really needed it, ie the strats, the lessons learned, and the MVP, which has been done before. other than that, thx god for at least another report.

Assuming this was a frist report (wasn't it?), credit must be given that you gave credible effort in the making of this report
That out of the way...
The first of several mistakes that jumped out at me: Blue, Green, and Purple colors show up VERY badly on a black backgorund (at least with this shity monitor). Given all of those colors, you probably should have gone with a different color or image background. Look at some YRM or WilliamWC3 to get ideas for a non-black background. My fellow near-blind cohorts and I would appreciate it greatly next time you get a blue or purple if you had SOMETHING other than black. As far as the line break tag was concerned, you may have been a victim of something that was in the br.com submitting system. The general concensus of the commenters suggests however that this is not the case. Previewing the report before you submit it will almost undoubtedly allow you to correct errors like that. |

Sadly, HTML isn't the only thing wrong with the report. I know you had only paint to work with (I can tell by the large box images), but paint can be used to make some excellent images. Go see a YRM cartoon to see a good example of the Power of MS Paint. There really IS more to paint than you would first think. But before you go post your 2nd report, please check your 5th grade English textbook for was to clean up your paper. This battle reports is more choppy than the hash browns I had for breakfast; far too many fragments and disorganized thoughts. Pictures are good, but a BR is only a photo album without good solid writing to support it.

OKOK i know that i definitely have some things to work on. Like HTML. This was my first battlereport and i really had never worked with HTML before. I have a question though: Livingexception- what do you mean MS Paint what is that? I might have used it but im not sure. Plz tell me so i can make these reports better. I think for a frist time report it was a very good job.
You have lots of potential if u just fix the things that everyone has been mentioning. Different BG, find some better games, work on HTML, and just watch grammar and writing style (stuck up attitude).
Great first report, fix your things and pump out some gold ones bro!

MS Paint is a program included by default in most installations of windows. It can be found by opening the start menu, programs, accessories, then choosing Paint. Alternatively, you can Run the program C:Program filesAccessoriesMSPAINT.EXE. It's used for... well, I don't really know what it's used for since it's so damn useless. I don't think it can read or save .jpeg or .pcx files, which are what you'll be working with, but it's been ten years since I used paint, so they may have added that capability to it since then.
Best thing to do is find a 30 day trial version of paint shop pro or something and then find a crack for it. You can find a demo at download.com, but it's up to you to find a crack. |
