Whether the rest of the country does or not makes no difference in this case, it's about him and his obsession with a death wish, not about whether he's like the rest of Australia. If I made a story about Antonio Banderas (Goad Fourbeed), I wouldn't care if the rest of Spain actually talks with his oh-so-pretentious accent.
And besides, it's HUMOR. Relax, and be assured that not everyone thinks Crocodiles Hunter and Dundee actually represent Australia. I play rugby and have met my fair share of Aussies - trust me, I know better :). |

Has the 1.08 patch KILLED battlereports.com? This story was funny and all, but there hasn't been a REAL report in over a week. Report density has fallen off significantly since 1.08. Could it be the convenience of simply posting a .rep file has killed BR.com? Lets hope not. I thought the replay would make some kickin' reports possible. Now it seems people don't report at all anymore.

Thanks for the comments everyone, I'm glad at least most of you liked it.
I'm sorry for your problem so-called-chickmagnet, but there's always Viagra to help with it ;).
I don't know, maybe you're not from America, but there's a recent plethora of commercials for advertising herbal Viagras here. The commercial parodies - which incidentally have absolutely NOTHING to do with Steve or the Croc Hunter show - are based on currently running commercials on American TV. The first is a mixture of the Herbal V commercials and a commercial for TiVo starring Joe Montana and Ronnie Lott which is deserving of an award for being a parody in itself.
The second is based on the Army's Army of One campaign, which IMO stinks.
Re-read it. You may not think it's funny still, and that's your prerogative, but at least make sure you understand what you're reading before you suggest that it's the story that's at fault and not an incompatible sense of humor. |

Its not a question of whether or not I get the penis jokes. And I understand the need for a sex drug. Obviously my name is chickmagnet because I'm making up for my own impotence. I'm but a 10 year old boy stricken with girls to the point of logging onto battlenet pretending to be female and cybering with other young men just like me. The joke is simply not good, you need at least a setup, which you didn't have. You told the entire joke in the first paragraph, (that is, steve has bad luck with the zerg) and took the rest of the BR to add zingy one liners that are said by steve. I'm very particular about my humor, and perhaps you were upset with me because my criticism was in no way constructive. I hope I've helped you with your joke a bit, because nothing makes me angrier than people who complain with nothing to add.

Do you even WATCH the show? Every week, he goes out and tries to get bitten, poisoned, constricted, or otherwise puts his extremities on the line. This isn't just bad luck, this is what this guy does FOR A LIVING. THAT is the joke. He does this with croc's, snakes, komodo dragons, whatever seems to be lying around. Someday he's going to go walking into an LA Ghetto and start hunting Crips and Bloods until he gets shot. My comment above to Squad is a direct quote from an episode I watched. He sat there and let the blood get cut off from his hand. That's all the setup I need.

The rest of the BR, outside the croc hunter show, are TV COMMERCIALS. If I put a big TV screen around it, would it make more sense? It's called a "Pop culture reference" - if you don't get the reference, I can't help you. We don't see the same TV I guess. The setups are the idiocies we have floating around us in pop culture - Steve being one that just begs for a parody. What you suggest would be like saying Chris Rock should stop the show after one joke about black mens' idiosyncrasies (no, I'm not saying I'm as funny as he is).
And for god's sake, just steal some Playboys and masturbate like most other preteens/teens without lives. |

I watch the show every day. If I were really a prepubescent 10 year old boy, I would buy the action figures. But thank you for your valuable imput on hormones, I'll give that one a try when I save up enough allowance money. The Crocodile hunter is about conservation and If you can find a joke in there, you will make me laugh. But the said joke in the BR would have been just as clever had you riffed on terri's breasts swollen from pregnancy. For whatever its worth, I think you have great potential as a writer/comedian. I'm finished with this thread, so there's no point in explaining the joke to me yet again. I'd love to play you a game sometime though and the above is my b.net handle.
