Why were the crossed-out "boring"s in parentheses? A lot of stuff up to the end of the BoB and Betty story was funny, but it dropped off after that.

Nice report, by the way, but I have to agree with the above comments - if you think that we'll find a game as boring as you found it, pick a different game to BR.

OK, to all of the idiots complaining that he shouldn't have said that it was boring if it was good enough to BR, stfu. It's called a writing style. Some people concentrate on humour and funny events, some people do first-person reports (gogo self promotion =o) and some people focus on another, different, thing.
It's called "report bashing" and I like it. What would you prefer? A game that is supposed to be a gosu 10 replay game, and then the BR doesn't seem to show it well enough, or a so-called crappy game that has been BRed using sarcasm?

I disagree with 6. Images were very good, and it was obvious that time was put into them and the layout. The text, although it contained some typos, still served the purpose of backing up the eye-candy of the images.

Hey Strega, relax :). Sarcasm as a reporting style is fine if it's done well, but in this case it was repeatedly calling the game boring. The irony kind of wears off after the first time - like most current Saturday Night Live skits, after they've delivered the punch line, they keep going and going like it's still funny.
That's not to say that this report was boring - it wasn't. But the comments that suggested not BR'ing a boring game were legit. |

| The layout in this report was very nicely done, (pics, font, background) and the interjection of the BoB story (used to emphasize the 'boring' nature of the game it seems) is definately a nice touch. I usually skim over the pics and come back to them when I find a break in the written descriptions, so the text is important more so than the pics to me. The glaring grammar mistakes is what keeps it from "gold" status, as stated by many before...but that said, damn nice first report. Give us some more. |
