Nice report! It's easily a 7-9, and I personally would give it an 8.
I've had an inspiration. Anyone who remembers Sid 6.9 from the days when I reported would remember he did a wonderful job of assessing what was good or bad about a report. I'd like to pick that up in his honor!
So here it is, Khas's first 'Things' that are good, and 'Things' that royally sucked! (Split up into 2 comments due to gayass 1000 character limit...=/ )
Things that were good-
-Good picture selection, most of them showed lots of action.
-It was interesting to see a series following a player that involved three different genres of games, micro wars, 1v1, and 2v2.
-Writing was good, and I think you really enjoyed writing this report.

Things that could have been better-
-I like that you tried to use collages and borders to your pictures, but those thick, white borders detracted a little from the writing...they drew my attention.
-For a lot of the pics that were small collages, it seems that for all the content in the picture, you had very little writing.
-With the quotes, it may have worked better if you had linked them all into one picture; the black space between each quote was relatively annoying.
Things that really suck-
-I'm gonna get flamed BADLY for "wasting my time" on this, but I hope you appreciate it, Strega.
Now, I haven't read any of your past reports, but I think I will start reading your works now. Just a little refining of your writing and picture usage, and you could become one of this site's famed reporters! |

The other 0.5 comes from the report actually being about a specific thing. Such as :

Ok people, I need your help. Seeing as the reasons why I do BRs is to [1.) Express my creativety + 2.) To give back to the site] then it follows that whatever you guys say, goes.
I am officially taking suggestions as to what my next report will be on/about and whether it should be all-text or just a few pictures or a whole heap of pictures.
The best OR most frequent suggestion will be what I do for my next report. Also note that, if it is as large as this one, then it will not be released for quite some time and the rate of reports coming out will go down to a drizzle again.

Thing borders of any color are good, if you're using PaintShop Pro, try using the Buttonize filter for a 3-D look to your pictures, the same I use.

Not bad style. I liked the microwars intermission.
I would make the frames on your collages a bit smaller, but my main gripe that, imo, really kills this report are the qualities of the three games. All 3 were beatdowns. I would pick closer games next time. 7.

hm great report yo sorry it took me a long time to read it
i think i am the only person who doesnt like collages at all. i mucchhh prefer 1 BIG picture that shows the whole battle scene. If you show one of those and explain what happens next, i know i get a better idea of whats going on. in your report, we got tiny little clips of every single shot fired. oh well.. and games were sorta 1 sided.

Good work on a 3 game series. The first two were smackdowns, but the main event was very entertaining, especially sense the humor level went straight up during the last game: "As you all should know, killing your opponent greatly increases your chances of winning." That should be a quote, funny stuff.
As far as the pics are concerned, you did well considering it was MS Paint (it was Paint, right?), and the minimaps pics were especially well done. I'd say 7.5

Nice rating, Strega, you really did a nice job on the report.
DrAw brought up an interesting point: try not to use extremely tiny pictures in your collages; try to get a better selection of the entire picture. It also helps to limit your screenshot amounts, since you dont have to worry about hitting the 99 mark if you only take one or two pictures of important scenes. |

DrAwesome = thanks! You might be pissed off with my next report then... Kind of the same thing with collages. Oh well, the main battles I have yet to do a picture of (It was MS Paint, as well as PSP to save it as jpg) so I'll try to do much bigger pictures for the really important battles.
Oh, one more thing. Who is in control of the quotes section? I have no idea, and would like to know where to send my bribe money, rather than just dish money out to whoever I see first.

I loved the writing style and humor, I dont care about the games I just liked the writing... SO my suggestion for your next-next report is a text only... Cuz why should I waste the time I could spend laughing at your writing, looking at pics of a game that isn't important ;)

Well, I was considering doing a text-only. Only thing is, it will most probably have to be of a game I played myself so as to do it in a first-person sort of style (I prefer these - easier to write). The trouble is, I pretty much suck and hardly ever play games myself that are worth reporting.
There's been maybe only 5-6 games where I thought I played really well and would do a BR of it. 3 of them have been done (well, 3rd will be done before the weekend if all goes well). The other 2 have been lost to the winds... (pre-1.08 days, so couldn't save a replay.)
Oh well, I'll look into doing a text only. Thanks for the input!
