Mental note: Recon the edges of my base like you were=P
As for the first failed Hydra drop, I couldn't reach the tank cause I didn't have the range upgraded yet (just speed) because of this, if I tried targeting it, my Hydra's would of just walked around your buildings and well... died.... It was still a good game though=P Queens... need Queens =) |

| Think of it like this 1999 - combined, you got an 8.0! :D |

| Good Idea Twip. Hehe, I'm highly upset about this BR rating. I do demand a reason for this!! It was a GG. I came back from death. Blank had me. |

| It does seem like BR ratings are rather low today. |

| I think the raters don't like having to click more than once to see all of your report. ;) |

cuz... the second part was a bit too dull, though it sounded like the turn of the game.
BTW, I didn't rate this. =P |

The ratings here really don't seem to make any sense. I do notice that BR's by regulars tend to get rated immediately, then a day or so later, the rest of them are rated.
In all honesty, I was introduced to this site as "a place where all the people suck up to the webmaster" a while back. I don't know if this is true or not, but over the times I've seen some rather boring BRs get golds, while ones which I've rolled over laughing about get squat. I think a new ranking style should be devised, instead of grading on your English skills and how in depth the BR was, it should instead focus on how much you ENJOYED reading the report, regardless of who won, lost, or used what strategy on who (of course innovative strategies are interesting to read, but not necessary).
Just my opinion |

Just my opinion, but I'd rather read a more indepth BR with Good English skills than a "comedy" BR. I mean, granted, Comedy BR's are nice and all, but I come here to read about some good in-game strat's and nifty games.
If I want a comedy, I'll watch Springer=P

Anon.: Rating on Battle Reports are mainly based on the quality of the writing style, the battle themselves, methods of illustration, and conciseness. Well at least that's how I think I would rate them. There are battle report of the following form: I started the game with protoss and the muthor@$#^$^@$ 4 pooled me and killed me, etc.... The language used there was sometimes fairly entertaining (in terms of stupidity of course) but these reports will not be rated any high.
This is a battle report site, not a site for comedic posts. I agree with Blank here. Of course, if a report is good by themselves, and at the same time very entertaining, it'll be rated very high. I recommend you read greyhoundbus's report lately, and T.T.Boy's report on Hypothermia about 2 weeks ago. You can use the search function on the left with ease. They are very good report in terms of in-depthness, writing style, and entertainment. |

Damn. Tell me again how to get people to suck up to me? =]
Just a little side note. Despite the rather bad introduction you had to the site, you're still reading it today. Something must have caught your eye.
Let me explain a bit about the rating system. We have seven raters who rate reports at thier own discretion. If more than one rates a report, it gets averaged in. We do rate reports based on content, readability, and graphic presentation, but if you had a great report or story without any bells or whistles, or you had one funny enough that I fell off my chair reading it, you'll be getting a high score anyway.

| It's very simple. I just ask my pet bengalaas here what to give each report. If he growls 3 times I give it a 3. etc... |

| Actually we never decided what to do if someone posted 2 parts of a report separately. If combining your reports, I give it a 6 or 7. A good example of someone getting ripped off is that 5 part report by Heartcutter. It was a 10 in my book, but he posted it in fragments, getting some 7's and 6's etc.. It confused the raters. Then again, if you gave him 5 separate 10's it would look like he was god of battle reports with 5 straight 10's. If I was you 1999 I would concentrate on the comments people leave, and less on the ratings. |

| Better solution. Post the whole frickin thing in one report. =] |

I didn't mean to do it that way!
I hit Alt + something and I sent my report halfway finish.
So I had to finish it the only way I knew how....by making part two.
And BTW I come here to read strategies and to tell my strategies. It makes us all better players to see things from others' points of view. |

| Agreed. That's one of the main points of this site. That an a little entertainment =]. |
