| let me describe what happened when i opened the window to the br on br.com. I'm like, "cool, flash, this will be good." I don't even look at the links at the bottom. While it loads, i finish 3 pages on the causes of the civil war. When I finish, I see that the flash will be finished in 30 seconds. I wait, then i click to start the flash. For what seems like an hour i watch what seems like useless eye candy, but still with the thought, "the br will come soon, another br in flash!" THe intro ends, I'm like, "what the hell?" I see the link to part 2, I open. I open part 2, and i start reading happily, i get to the bottom, I'm again like, "what the hell?" By this time, I'm as mad as a bull. I open part 3, I read it, I realize that i was just disconnected for no reason. I have to reopen part 3. I read it again, and I'm so angry I accidentally rip the social studies paper in half. Well, from all your complaints, I'm very happy I'm on ADSL right now :].
The flash was pretty nice, I like the drone clapping to the music. The actual report was damn long though, and even though it was a great BR, I started skimming through parts cause it was just so long.

I guess I would probably hate the fact that I have a modem with a connection that can't go over 28.8 (it's 56k, just that my phone line HATES the internet). However, I waited for the opening flash by sitting in Mechwars wondering what to build for an upcomming war. To wait for the reports, I just listened to the song (kept relistening while reading the report to boot).
Too many details? I say not enough :). The game deserves a 9 at least, the style deserves a 10, the beginning flash a 12 and the music needs to co-own BR.com. |

well I'm pretty implacable when it comes to flashy reports, etc. And I often loathe the ratings given to such reports, and those that have been on BR.com for a long time can attest to this.
However, this is one of the greatest battlereports I've ever read. It may be one of the last great journalistic reports, seeing as replays will probably axe that style. Congratulations. |
