I see you have potential, but you could use some judgement :(. I'm not referring to BGH, it's just the fact that the game utterly sucked, as it was barely over ten minutes old. Images were decent, reminiscient of my own early images (and still a lot like my modern ones :P). You have potential for better reports, just pick better games, and maybe add a little more detail and ramble less (I don't really care why you didn't think zerg was at 12 :P) |

Might as well join a bandwagon and agree with azn.
All that basicly happened was that you got hit with late lings from one person, attacked and won. To be true, the game was over the second the zerg player decided not to ling rush or tech to hive. No real strategies could be taken from it or were highlighted (except bats > lings and the quick vulture comment was nice though judging by the pic alone vultures weren't even needed there). No real theme was there to awe us (the 'blue ling' stunt sounded similar to a schoolyard bully picking on the kid half his size raising his fists). Just nothing more then 2 people insanly overwhelming 2 others- a theme more used then fan fics...and less fun to read.
BGH, LT, or on one of the masses of other maps that everyone is afraid to play on (because it's not BGH/LT :P), the match just wasn't any good. To be true, the 'mucho money' element didn't even come to play since the game ended so fast :P.
Simply put, it's nice that you had fun playing it, but the game isn't much fun to read :/
Also, I am curious if those you beat actualy had any fun; myself I don't see much enjoyment in an easy win, whether I'm winning or losing. The close matches, or at least one with alot of learning potential, hold the most fun (to which BGH slips in, since a game among equal players and doesn't end in a rush ends up with both spending 3 hours picking at bases that will never die, but that's another story) |

Very well presented and pretty well written too, shame it was one of the suckiest games ever played. You'd have gotten 8-9 if this style and your obvious html ability had been used in a 40+ minute game, you kinda dug your own grave a little bit there, but well done for what u did do

Try a map other than the following: bgh, hunters, temple, rivalry, conquest, snowbound, dire, any other ladder map, maus, brushfire, mayhem. THAT'LL be popular :P
btw only 3 units come out of a fax anyway, the "most underestimated" vult doesnt really have much of an impact if there's not, like, 7 or 8 units you're estimating over the vult : |

I may be bias (<--- translation, dont read this comment) but I happen to think it was a wonderful br on a fun game with lots of butt sex and happy rhyming monkeys dancing around singing loudly. I mean, any game where halby actually wins without archons should go down in the history books. The bat - splat picture was dead sexy.
The thing that most of the ppl who complained disliked about it, is the thing I liked best. How often does someone wrap up a game within 10 minutes without some sort of rush? I'm sure it's not obvious by the report, but both of the oponents were rather good, they just BOTH chose the exact wrong strategie against our heroes. The terran oponent got over a dozen marines (more than half dead by the time the screen shot takes place) and more than enough medics to back em up all within 7 or 8 minutes... thats not easy to do, yet his oponent went marine crunching spider mines with tanks guarded by vultures and that was that.
The zerg went a perty decent sustained ling out of multiple hatcheries, a relatively good strategie on bgh... But his oponent made ling splattering bats and medics... I'd say it was a once in a lif.... week-time game and it was worth bring.
Besides skimoose is the man. Y'all are just anti bgh cuz you have no skillz at it. There is just as much strat involved in bgh as, for example, temple, just DIFFERENT strats. bgh doesn't have levels of terrain, or migration. but temple doesn't have fortress busting, or sustained choke defense... DIFFERENT not worse or better or easier or harder.
Like any issue you stupid egotists need to pick a side and berrate the other... Because you can't feel right unless someone else is wrong. Lots of ppl play bgh, lots of ppl play random maps, lots of ppl play both, ALL of them have fun, ALL of them develop some sorts of starcraft skillz, only the stupid of them call the other groups lame or newbies or boring.

Oddly enough no one has realy attacked the fact that this game was made in BGH (well, one or two comments that also struck at those that make LT BRs).

Far too many games end at the 10 minute mark, or else might as well have. Winning that fast is a mark of being completly overwhelmed.

That's the problem and the reason why they are deemed as a little lacking for skill. The match was T/T vs T/Z. That made the choice of strats similar to fighting a 1 on 1 vs T. Mass lings are a BIG no-no early on (though cracklings rock later). The scout alone should've told that, nevermind when the zerg attacked and failed. Also where were the sunkens? That zerg player should've seen the medic there or at least the usage of marines and knew that tech and D (since the tech was late) was needed to recover. 4 quick sunkens at the cost of the lings that got eaten by the bats would've saved the zerg..at least untill his partner could come back.
Speaking about his partner, M&M vs terran? Why? Vultures tear it apart with ease and tanks aren't so bad either. You can say that the M&M was to compliment his partner but the fact is that there wasn't any coordination (if so then those lings would've been with marine assistance).
So basicly you have 2 people using rushing units but not rushing and using stats that any terran worth any salt should be able to handle. I take my old comment back; the game was over the second their second hatch/rax was done.
The rest of this is basic insults; claims that no one here can play BGH although there's no proof to that (meanwhile I can supply counter evidence in that many anti-BGHer kill pubbies on a regular basis; yes that does mean that they end up playing BGH, but they can still hate the map). Another claim in the second paragraph with insults afterward. The idea that a major reason why BGH is hated (and for some, LT) is because few people play anything else. VERY few people play both and even less play purly random maps. Many others play BGH because there is little else. The evidence for that sits in the public list. The few that don't play BGH play only LT.
An intersting part about this ending is the fact that no one here has actualy insulted the people playing BGH. Put this in LT and it would still get a horrible score (though, to be honest, I would wonder if you can have a good game in BGH that isn't 1 sided or a draw; that might be BR material). Insults on the map, yeh (I just threw one now :) ), but the first stereotypical insult on any players in here is that those that don't like BGH are egotists who can't play the map :P
Oh and to end it is a poor way, Don't even think you can make longer explanation-posts then I! No one uses more bandwith then I. HA HA HA!!!! |

Oh ya, and to the statement that noone was bashing the BGH aspect, almost everyone who made a negative comment mentioned bgh, they just didn't outright talk shit because skimoose called them on it in his report... And to your ponderance as to wheather or not a good BR can come from bgh in a game that isn't one sided or a draw, I will point you to both of my battlereports, which, of course, were the two best battle reports on the sight, as evidence that it is possible.

Embrace constructive criticism; spurn unpleasant and unhelpful insinuations that have no proof to back them up (the " 'you' didnt have high score" thing.) I appreciate all the constructive criticism from the "vetern" reporters. Next time, I will choose a better game to report. This report was not so much about the game(yes, it was short and one sided) as it was about learning how to do a battlereport with images and colors etc. I taught myself HTML while making this, so it served two purposes I guess. Again, thanks for our input and now for responses:
To funnymarx: coors light cause it's the silver bullet and it was cold and the only beer in my fridge :(
To Supercod: If we were "playing some stupid newbie hackers", do you think wwe would have won that easily?
To Krazyman: Actually I did "have game overall high score". I just felt that I had too many pics in my br already, and putting in EVERY score screen was gonna make it longer then it should have been. Come on, did you really need to know how many mins/gas I had? And next time I will try for a more "well rounded view of game", but I didn't realize how hard it was, until after this game, to make units, stim marines/bats, charge in, take pics of my battle, take pics of my partners battle etc. Hopefully the replay feature will fix that :)
Anyways thanks for your input and happy reporting....
