| wow.... i mean wow.... this was great. Even though I've played homeworld a couple of times at a friend's house, I didn't know it was this deep. But for all thsoe people, the opening pic of gnn was from master of orion II it's not from homeworld. Master of Orion II was a great game, but this report makes me want to go out and buy homeworld. 9-10, and that's hard to get. |

Cool, sounded like a good game. Kinda hard to follow though sometimes, but that's probably because I've never played the game. I liked the commentary too, but you need to find some colours that aren't teal and bright green =)

This BR looked excellent and I'm sure it would have gotten a 9 . . . <B>if you explained the units and tried to relate this to something the general comunity can understand</B>. I know very few poeple on Br.com play homeworld, and I am not one of them. I got lost frequently and had to try to make sense of what was there. I won't give a rating cause it wouldn't be fair to all your hard work.

I played the hw demo for a while and I disliked it because it seemed like it had no strategy compared to sc.
but then I didn't really learn how to play very much, aside from the basic rules.

Myself, I played the demo, loved it (even though my comp nearly had a core meltdown handling the graphics and me constantly wanting close ups of explosions :P) and paniced for the main game. However, after pumping myself full of SC I killed that addiction.
...not 5 minutes into the BR you nullified a good year+ of work!
In other words: OMG I loved this BR!! Even without knowing the units (I knew some, like what a Controler was and how evil Salvagers are, but I can't picture a Drone Frigate(?) ) you can follow the action.
*sigh* oh well, I'm off to DL the Homeworld demo again. Perhaps I can find some room in the budget for the full (or will there be a H2 soon?)

| dont u just LOVE this game???? ive had it 4 about a year now, and im only on mission 9 (shit they're hard) but i play it all nite when im @ mt dads house. but... great report, i usually build a HUGE force of destroyers (missle + standerd)ion cannon frigetes, and a few heavy cruisers 2 top it off. then i build a few multigun corvettes, drone frigetes, and mayb a few missle destroyers 2 defend my mothership. but if ur online w/ HW some time ill play u, this is my HW name above ( bentusi1040 ) |
