Here it is AGAIN since Desfab seemed to have a positively Floridian-esque burr in his britches against a simple link report. I apologize in advance of course. The report has some spacing problems that I wasn't able to quite eliminate. In the future I hope to fix that. In any case - I hope you enjoy! | Ah - My bad then Mark4. I can only plead the excuse that absolutely NOWHERE on your site (at least that I can find) does it say that link reports are forbidden. You might want to add some sort of "DANGER WILL ROBINSON" line in the report submission page about that, otherwise poor uneducated Joes such as myself will simply assume that it is OK. |

| We've had about five submitted since the start of the site. Out of 3718 submissions. I take this to mean anyone with the slightest shred of common sense managed to figure it out on thier own. |

No need to be snippy Mark4. And as far as common sense goes, In the absence of any ACTUAL overt statement to the contracy common sense would dictates that a link report would be acceptable(while not necessarily 'normal'). To think otherwise is actually a violation of common sense - for common sense does not dictate that something is FORBIDDEN unless it is stated to be in violation of some written, communicated rule. Well I won't parse words with you, and I'll just chalk up my previous submissions to the sad battleground of experience.

| In defense of Drefsab and Mark4, this IS thier website. I may disagree with some of the details of how they run it, but it is a free service and I will toe the line now that they have TOLD me what to do. I still think they should put this 'no link reports or you will be deleted!' rule of thiers in the FAQ at least, or better yet in the posting guidelines and what not. Still if they refuse to do so then that is thier perogative and we shouldn't really rag on them too much about it. Thanks for the support though D's Servant. Nice to know I'm not the only one scratching his head over it... |

I'm not mad at you Nafarias, I just think that you would be able to understand why we wouldn't accept link reports. Like ccn.com would put an article on thier site rather than linking to a similar one at msn.com. |

Common sense doesn't tell me that is CNN.com is accepting freelance articles, that they would delete a bunch of submission without at least posting the reason why. Still, whatever. Just as a humble suggestion - keep in mind that a website gets a constant flow of users and not all of them 'know' your unstated rules. I perfectly understand 'why' you wouldn't want a link report, but there is no missive stating that a link report will be deleted. There is a difference between 'frowning' on something and out and out forbidding it.
And you better give Drefsab admin rights now I guess! :) |
