Well don! I applaud you! No, I'm not just saying that. The truth is (and I speak only for myself) I don't *want* to win a backstabbing game! I want to be punished and wiped out exactly the way you described now. (Although I'd like to think my base wouldn't be quite as poorly planned, but that's another story altogether.) Morally (and just about aevery other way you look at it) backstabbing is wrong. When someone backstabs, he's waving a red flag in front of you, saying "come get me..."
You did. Well done. I hope you do it again. And I hope next time you SCV rush a comp-stomper and thrash him to hell, I hope it's me.

| A fun thing would be to backstab the backstabers. Go into a comp stomp, find a potential backstaber, ask him if he wants to backstab. If he agrees, simply backstab him. Explain to your fellow allys he was tring to backstab. |

To Snork~Dimmy, if you go back and actually read the report, you will find that the computer had basically nothing to do with this game, other than being a medium for a bunch of players with different motives to come together. The fact that you didn't read the rest of the report shows that you really didn't have a clue as to what the actual report was about. Oh well.
To HardStomper, the simple fact is, these people that comp stomp, do so for fun, and probably do suck pretty bad. They probably would get run over as they did in the game you reported. That's why I say, just let them have their fun. It's not as if they're out there to ruin the b.net community or anything; they're just looking for a relaxing game. Nice comments though.
I wonder what rating this would get if you didn't take the lack of pictures into account. :)

Well i think itd solve a lot of problems if blizz would make computer enemies only usable in UMS. That way there would be far less false wins.{just an opinion}

It's a cruel world out there. Wouldn't you rather learn some of life's harsh lessons in front of a computer screen than in the back of a van?
Betrayal in all its forms is a part of life. If you draw a parallel between Starcraft and the Real world, don't forget that it's a two-way street. Starcraft OnLine will teach you about comraderie, cooperation - and deceipt. Even the basic premise of the game is brutal enough to render "sweet and and wholesome"-notions ridiculous: you win by killing and burning down your adversaries, regardless of who/what they are.
This is not a game. It's life. Grow up. |

As for the Starcraft/real world parallel. Yes there are bad things that go on in both Starcraft, and the real world. However, does that mean that YOU and ME personally should carry out said bad things? I don't think so, unless you just like being that way. I mean you can talk about how stuff happens that isn't right, but you yourself don't have to be a part of it, and you yourself can try to do something to stop it.
And if you're someone who likes to backstab in the real world, in Starcraft, or wherever, then I really don't think there's too much hope for you.
Bottom line: Saying "sh*t happens, deal with it", is a copout. If all the "good guys" in this world took a passive stance to something they didn't like, then this world would be a crappy place to live. So if you really care, quit frickking copping out and do something. |

Indeed, he shouldn't be able to take down more than one or two players before being torn to shreds by the other, righteous compstompers.

It sickens me to win a backstab. And I chuckle everytime I get run over.

but:
um... just like to point something out, but people play starcraft mostly to get away with the real world, if you think about how much evil there is in society, then it's actually quite sickening... in starcraft you kill each other, yes, but at the end you go back into the channel and say 'Good Game' and chat in a friendly fashion... considering that the olympic games are on right now, which are supposed to represent friendly competition and mutual peace and respect around the world, this is kinda a more pressing issue isn't it?
Righteo then... building character, I guess it does build up character... learns you alot about psychology and such, but you could probably learn as much by trying out bungee jumping, reading a novel or asking your boss for a raise... my point is that EVERYTHING builds up your character, your personality is influenced as much by stubbing your toe on your doorstep yesterday morning as much as it is by losing a backstab... there really isn't any need to go out of your way (and potentially cause grief to others) by backstabbing, just my little take on things
It's like imposing your own set of ethics on someone else, backstab is a bit of a negative way to do things, and I doubt that any backstabbing game, wether you win or lose, could really build up your personally in a 'positive' way, although 'positive' does have a large number of meanings, of course |

god this is funny. I'm the leader of {AcS}, (Anti Comp Stompers) The only reason we kill comp stompers is because free wins are gay. Lets all gang a comp and make our records and ourselves look good.
