Ah, I love telling/hearing/reading paint ball stories. This was explained very clearly compared to a lot of braggers tall tales I've heard. Including my own. =]
I have yet to hear a story about the Pittman Hell Hound though. If you don't know what a Hell Hound is, think of a HUGE dune buggy/quad, with a roll cage, TWO hoppers that can hold around 6000 paint balls, and yes, a paint ball Gatling gun. The shooter stands on the back, and the passenger/driver are covered by the roll cage.
If anyone knows what the web page is for that, I'll give you a golden cookie. I've been looking for the past 15 minutes and couldn't find it! AGH!

I don't see why people bitch about getting hit with paintballs, it doesn't hurt... The only reason I regretted wearing shorts was because my legs are so white they show up like a beacon.

King, they do make paint ball grenades, but they are one use and very expensive. They are outlawed on most paintball ranges because they basically cover 30 square feet in paint. This, besides being a game ending blow, is also bad for the ecology. yellow coated plants make sucky cover :o)

Great stuff! Funny too. One bit of advice... if you do go to crypto school then DON'T QUIT! You probably won't like the job they line up for you in its place. Also, don't try to hide anything from them about your background investigation. Tell em about all your traffic tickets, tell em about all your drug experimentation, if you've done a lot of drugs then don't even try to get that job, just go to college and do more drugs until you get that out of your system. oh well, there is someething that REEALLY would have heelped me understand..
altho you tried to be very descriptive, a picture is worth a thousand words... even if you had made a rough ass ms-paint picture that shows locations, at least, i wouldn't have had to imagine most of the BR in my heead... (i had pretty hard time visualizing)
well, paintball is really addicting.. kinda costs alot, tho..
but it's really fun, it's a way of getting rid of some negative emotions, and a good way to eexersice....
hardcore paintballers have FORMATIONS setup and read them off as situations allow.. pretty gay shit, tho.
its a dope game, but i HATE snipers, personally. i think it kinda messed up the balance of the game. especially when they are high-ground...
oh well, i ain't no expert, so i'll stop now.
i like real-life stories, for they show you as who you are..

Great report, I try to go paintballing 2-3 times a month and love it every time. I used to wear full camo, but I've found dark/crappy shorts and a T-shirt are much more comfortable and better for running.
Also if you go there more than a few times, even if you're renting I'd suggest getting your own mask. $40 is a small price to pay for no-fog thermal lenses or whatever.
And yeah it sucks to get shot by girls. |

| i did a paintball match once, and i didnt have all the accessories being armed to the teeth, with high-power rifles and practically bullet proof armor like all the other guys. slings, youre right about paintballs not hurting when you get shot, but if you take a hit from a high-powered rifle, they leave welts the size of plates the day after! just a little factoid there... |
