hmm, if it was longer and the images were better I wouldve liked it more. Since the images didn't tell me to much about where you guys were and stuff. Maybe making the images a little bigger and maybe making them 3d so you can see how high stuff is and that would help a lot but it would be rather hard to do.
But it would help.
And what would be really neat is if you could make a Flash Movie of the entire battle and make it kinda like realtime where you use Motion tweens to show the players moving and shooting and such. That would be totallying awesome if you could do that. |

Kralgon again - "Decent" was better than I hoped anyone would use to describe this report. I was thinking more along the lines of "sucked." The next paintball report will have pictures, hopefully.

Vegita - 3D would be very tough. It could be done, I suppose. Then again, I think I'll just bring along a disposable camera for my next game. Just wait, the next one will be better.

Snork - Yeah, it does sting, but it goes away after a few seconds. Twice they've broken skin, but those occasions are far and few in between.

I love seeing players own those rental kids.... That's good stuff. And Snork, u don't really feel it because your adrenaline is kicking like a mad donkey that just got its balls zapped with a cattle prod. Prolite = good. F2 > Prolite. Still Tippman Owns! Stock Spyder sucks nuts. Everyone's grandma has a stock spyder. Paintball.... must play....

hahahaahaaha.. that would be funny, you are behind a bunker, not peeking over but you want pictures, so you hear firing over to your left and hold the camera up and snap shots while winding it with the other hand... LOL nah your camera wouldn't get knocked out of your hands.. lol ..ahh ok.. yeah if you spent more than 30 secs on top view of maps it would have been much better, not to say that in a bad way, but the more you put into it the more you get out, the writing was nice thou, but pics.. were a lil shabby.. overall it was a different and nice read... wow i need to learn paragraphs... late

Actually, I've been out playing paintball DFA. Now I'm back, time to answer more questions.
Factal - Erm...yeah.
Exactly - I'm not arguing about the Prolite owning, but the 98 doesn't suck. At least, my 98 doesn't suck.
Oddball - I don't like owning rental kids, I like owning cockey assholes. That and people who adhere to the theory that you have to pay a months salary for your gun. It's always fun to goggle a mag or cocker owner.
And yes, everyone and their mother has a stock Spyder. I think Kingman is going to be the next Brass Eagle. All but the most expensive guns will get no respect.
DFA - Hey, those maps took at least 40 seconds. For CS I usually use random names, and hop from pubbie server to pubbie server. Look for Das_Squeaky or Testicle_of_Doom. Those are my usual names.
Another - I can think of a lot of good games not made by Blizzard. Although I'm not sure how you can compare real life to computer games.

Snork - It depends on your definition of decent. Most rental guns are decent, just kinda shabby looking. My gun cost around $150 when I bought it, but I've since added a new $50 barrel (it's cheap, but it helped my range), and a $40 motorized hopper (it stirs the paintballs in your loader so they don't jam up). The barrel and hopper are optional, and some guns have nice barrels to begin with. Then you need a tank, which could run you anywhere from $20 - $400. I paid $40 for mine.
You have to have a mask also. Most decent masks will cost you anywhere from $40-$110. I have a JT Flex 7 Spectra, which run about $50 for the basic mask. If you have the extra cash, buy thermal lenses. They keep the goggles from fogging up, and you're screwed if they get fogged up. Thermals cost around $20.
Paintballs cost around $60 for a case of 2500, but some fields require that you buy their paintballs, and horribly overcharge you.
I'd say to rent or borrow a gun first, then see how you like it.

| wow, suprisingly good report. very clear, and nice approach to a paintball BR. GW owning all of em ;]. thats like my friend when a group of us go paintballing. We all run to the sides behind bunkers and shit, he runs right down the middle, kamikaze.. no one expects it, he takes out 4-5 people before getting shot. I haven't paintballed enough to know which guns own or whatever (my friend gave us the guns he had... I think I had a spyder... dunno the model). Two questions: 1) wheres the first place you've been hit? 2) wheres the most painful place you've been hit? |

Lets play a CS paintball match, i'm sure we could 10 kids from BR.com who play CS, my 270 ping will own you all !!! hahahaha..well not really..If you play paintball you always get hit in the nads when you're just about to leave and the store asks if you wanna play one more, but you've already removed you cup, but you think nah it's not gonna happen.. and wham! no kids for me.. heh..

Ok, more answers:
Chinks - 1) First place I got hit was in the back, it bounced.
2) The most paintful places to get hit are the neck (anywhere), groin (I wear a cup, better safe than sorry), ass, ears (holy god that hurts), head (anywhere unprotected, that is), and hands. I've taken to wearing gloves with special rubber armor for my hands, cause I every time I got hit before, my hand would go into spasms and I would need to stop for a few games to rest.
DFA - Scrounge up as many folks as you can, and I'll host a server we can play on. Get people with TFC too, I have some fun wierd-ass maps.
jeezum - We got positivly raped in the second game. No, Spyders (www.kingmanusa.com) are semi-auto guns. Taking a pump into a semi-auto dominated game is like suicide, unless you're a godly player. The company that makes Spyders does make pump guns though.

| yo squeaky, get the ref to take pics, that way u dont have to concentrate on pics and game, and you could see the fights from a better angle... anyways great report, and paintball is damn fun. But tippman 98.. tisk tisk, i rented one when i didnt have my spyder with me and it sucked dick... balls dropped and totally off aim. |
