here's a pvp build i've been messing around with:
gate then gas then core then gate then a forge and another gate when i can afford it, all the while making goons and getting range. when the forge comes in i get +1 fast and make a cannon in case of dts. usually an 18 or so goon attack when +1 finishes is a pretty strong attack. if he went dts then i tech to obs and then attack.

| pvp? tech like a bird and drop dts and reavers, harass with dweb and later few carriers and secretly tech to arbiters on island. few carriers with arbiter and stasis will kill all goon maniacs. |

Wow finally another Mark4 report =] I'm glad you decided to do this one, your reports are by far the most informative here at BR.com... BTW the first reports I ever read were yours and YRM's on both Grrrr... vs. October games, and they impressed me so much... This is when I started regularly checking this site for updates, and I think now that YRM doesn't make any reports you are the one setting the standard at battlereporting... the rest are just trying to be funny/original or doing fancy graphics {like me =[ ).
PvP - since I usually play Terran I don't know many strats about PvP, so when I happen to play that matchup I do a build I read about at www.xds.dreamcite.com (it's a Grrrr... strat). It seems to work fine, you might check it out. About Reavers - I remember I once experimented to try what damage they do... amazingly (for me) it turned out that if their target was moving, they did just 50 damage to it even if the target was passing very close to them... so if an SCV is moving it survives a Scarab!
Sorry I guess I got caried away a bit =]
Anyway, did you read my last report? It's nothing similar to this one, but I put a lot of effort into it and I would love to hear your opinion about it...
I think 7 is a shame for this report, you deserve 8 or more for sharing so much Protoss knowledge with us... |

I played a PvP with Prtotphobic on Rivalry last night. I remember him attacking my dragoons with zealots. Of course he had larger numbers, but I had reavers in a shuttle and ended up killing about 4 zealots at a time, but him ravaging my dragoons.

| Good report, And ya ive found that strat works well. If you go 2 gate dts they get mowed over by 3 gate goons + observers. If they go dts, i usuallu dont even get a reaver, just power 3 gate goons and kill em. |

| I've found that reaver tech just owns other protoss. I get 2-4, then go power goons+observers. Reavers are the key IMHO. |

Disc, then when I relog ask him for a rematch with the same races then during the countdown switch to zerg. Tell him how godly you are to make him stay, and then 4 pool because I suck at Z vs P... :D

| pvp is my favorite matchup, even tho im not so great at it, i tend to go mass goons, i usually never go reaver b/c everytime i do i get attacked either before i have the reaver or it doesnt seem to do much damage...maybe that is just bad control for me, i usually go power goons out of 3 gates with upgrades and somewhat early exp when i feel i outnumber him, cannons for early detection, then robo for obs, then temp archives for upgrades, usually out of 3 forges if i can.....maybe i just suck...... |

I'm sure you all want to know my PvP build :-O j/k. I almost always go 1 gate straight goon and to reavers, i hold my cliff and then exp with reaver. Then I move up to templar once i get my gas at exp. Take it from there usually.

Ownage report with lotsa insight on the pvp matchup. Personally I love the pvp game but there's nothing I can add to that. If all goes well for me that's basically the exact thing I try to do, except Im not gosu enough to coordinate cliff cannons while reaver dropping and defending my natural from superiour numbers of goons.
Sucks to be Bill, he didn't deserve that fate...

Reminds me of the time I was playing Chron0 in a tourney. I was below him so I saw his race choice in the chat screen. I picked zerg, so he picked terran to counter it, then I switched to toss at the last second :)

I wanna play you when you give me shared vision, although i did delete Starcraft to make room for Baldur's Gate.

why again did this report get a 7? i liked it more than lewis's report, i.e. mark's sentence structure has actual coherency for one (no offense lewis), and it was an over-all well done report. dr.z said it had clunky paragraphs but i didn't notice them. it was informative and well written.
btw, i did play mark with vis the whole game and he eventually killed me with orbed scvs, although it did take 4 waves of the lil' bastards to win.
one last addendum, who the hell is scarab and wtf was did he write? was it funny? was it english? |

Great report! I love the strategic detail, and am very glad to see Mark4 back at it. I also learned from this report how to kick people's butts at Starcraft: do everything at once. That's right. Micro your battle up north like a genius, and while that's going on, use the diversion to reaver drop his probe line. Man. If only I could think with that speed and precision in the middle of a game...
I second Anal-Banana's request for a Mark4 PvT report. Also, I second Napoleic's reaction to Fox's "PvP build-order." Very funny. It should definitely be added to this site's collection of random quotations. |

Wow! This was the most amazing thing I've ever read!
You actually successfully played D2? OMFG! I thought the entire game consisted of barely joining the realm, then sitting in a chat room looking at "Server Down" and "Can Not Join the Game" messages while listening to whiney people curse at Blizzard while brainless morons argue in favor of Blizzard that "the service is free so you shouldn't expect it to actually work".
So you're saying that there's actually some kind of clicking game past all that which is playable? or are you talking about the "Chat Gem"? I've played that!
