This was a very interesting game. I played a lot on Tiller's not knowing the tricks of the map, doing psi raids from ledges, using the cliff outside his main to make him get siege before before being able to push out, etc.
The final trick though was the mobility advantage carriers have against goliath on that map. I could hit his main and run, then hit his tanks and run, while the goliaths ran to either place. He didn't have enough to split into two groups, because then I could overwhelm each group seperately. They had A very long way to take while for my air units it was a screen length.
Basically map knowledge was the key, along with PvT of course. Our next match he picked Lost Temple. Speculate on that for a bit =p. |

Onto the report.. i read the first part, them skimmed. Wasn't surprised that Mark won since he is ya'lls idol. And you know guys, you could have given Dref credit for the idea that you stole. Not only did you do the same idea that he did in his Mark4 vs Kreb BR, but you even had one of you purposefully and idiotically over do the whole suck up to mark thing. Not very amusing.
The effort was there, the pics were gorgeous of course (Nobody still has the skills), the writing and "plot" was subpar. It was a nice report to delay the eventual collapse of this site, enjoyable certainly, but over hyped.

Nice work guys, I wasn't disappointed. i'm far too tired to write abig comment (see my forum post), but this is a really good report. the beginning was a little lacking, and fox gave away the winner with his chatter, but no biggy. fun stuff, and although the images were fx crazy, I liked them, i get a kick outta looking at that stuff. way to do the same as me and slings but better by the way too, yours was easier to follow. keep it up.

When u come up to a horde of guys, run up then run back and only one or two will follow you, thus making them extremely easy to kill ^^ aren't i so smart?!:)

OK, this is the second game report where I saw tillerman get his terran heavy metal get beaten down by carriers. Isn't that boy ever going to remember to make some ghosts so he can lock down the carriers and then mop 'em up with gollies? He could have also been more agressive with his 123124 tanks and pushed into Mark's base as he was waiting the horribly long time it takes to get carriers. Is there some logic, here? Hell, I know tiller is 10X better than me but I don't get it...

D2 and SC are two completely different genres. You can't really compare them. Some people like Diablo-type games, and they'll have a field day with D2. Others like Starcraft-type games, and they'll mostly stick with SC.
In my opinion, Starcraft is alive and well and will stay that way until Warcraft III comes out. Then it will die so fast it won't even have time to make nasty strangling noises. |
