at first, i was fairly disappointed in this report. it was completely one sided with montaro totally owning, but then, i saw the awesome micro montaro pulled off. that 8 ghost drop alone made the game worth reporting. great job, i love these reports, but do miss the quotes of the month.

| The BR was all right . . .Monty nailed Stratix pretty overwhelmingly. I tend to like games that are more of a mutual challenge, unless it's something like Drefsab's 200 drone drop, in which case it's brilliant for being ludicrously unconventional and plain hilarious.<p>I don't know his reasons, but I agree with Bob's rating--I would give it a seven because it IS a fairly well-written report with some informative graphics. I was under the impression that Raters generally mean a report was good if they give it a seven, the higher ratings being reserved for reports which really shine.<p>Things that *I* think would make a report such as this shine, and therefore worthy of a higher rating, are <p> 1) A more interesting game. There are a lot of games which, although rife with sugary gosu-ness, are nonetheless poor material for BRs. Unless there is some powerful hook such as a particularly bizarre strat, or a close battle with many changing of tides (or a few signifcant ones), there's nothing to grab the reader.<p> 2) Higher quality graphics. The pics are decent, but most are fuzzy, and the actions shots are disjointed, with screen jumping and obtrusive frame skipping. (I KNOW you have to skip frames, but still.)<p> 3) (ACK I SWEAR I don't mean offense by this, but) Better grammar and spelling. This BR, as are most, is primarily a written affair, and as such the quality of the writing is paramount to the effective communication of the game's events and your humorous commentary.<p><p>This is merely my opinion, and as such has approximately the authoritative weight of a rabid armardillo, but if it's helpful, then I'm glad I could assist.<p><p>--William Wilson-- |

I realize that I only expressed (what I meant to be) constructive criticism, without mentioning all the things I enjoyed about your report. That is shortly to be remedied.<p>As for the seven, I *am* under the impression that the raters mean that to be a high score. Your report had many excellent qualities, and I look forward to seeing more such reports from you in the future.<p>Personally, I thought your report was well-described and humorous. You always explain where the action is taking is place, and the reader never feels lost or has to stop to figure out what's going on. The game can be easily and clearly pictured.<p> Several of the comments you included were appropriate to the "plot" as well pretty darn funny, such as Montaro informing you of his impending gosu-ness and Stratix begging to be more owned after the fact.<p>Your "Ownage is Complete!" collage of the nuke strike was awesome, especially those bottom three panes.<p>Your report was fun and well done, and I appreciate the work you put into creating it. | Well done report etc, but I don't really enjoy reading blatant Montaro sucking up. He is good, so are many players. It just seemed like propoganda for continuing to re-affirm Montaro's self-acclaimed position as "Terran God". Again, it's a fine report but the game itself was hardly worthy of a report. |
