The strat of killing off Fort/smith in order to run down oil resources is one of the least known and least used (and gayest) strats in War2.
A good report overall, and its not personal, but I love to see a human beat an orc :)

Been a while since I've seen any Warcraft II up and running, played a bit over in Bosnia in '98-'99 on my deployment.
Ever hear of bloodlusted/hasted Dragons? I'm not too huge on tactics and strats for WarII, as we upgraded to Starcraft while in-country and the rest is history, but an old gaming friend of mine says that the bloodlusted/hasted dragon group is something to see.
Frankly, I am very surprised that the humans won, as it seems that the folks at Blizzard tilted the game balance in favor of the Orcs in WarII. For the record, I play Terrans exclusively in Starcraft, where again, it seems that the human race has been dealt the low hand in the game, but it makes for more skillful play - ANY joker out there can mass Dragoons and swarm your base... but it takes true FINESSE to wipe them out with a nuke, or stimmed Firebats...
For those of you who don't know what on Earth I'm talking about, stroll on down to your software retailer and check out the titles available in the Starcraft universe. I don't know the games well enough to give you WarII equivalents for the aforementioned Starcraft units, sorry.
But hey, folks, it's been fun checking out a WarII report, I'd thought this game had gone the way of the do-do bird. Thanks for an interesting read, keep up the good work.

| Heh, One problem is, if you only one raxed and he only one raxed, get a second rax and try to outrush him horribly, that way you can take him out earlier and slow him down a ton. If you ever see someone going mass dwarves get them, and FAST! Once they get fliers/sapps everywhere and knights, you're screwed. Human players are very strategic, but if you can get lust and a lot of grunts. You will own them. |

| there is a lot more to war 2 than just charging their base with grunts/ogres. this report shows a good example of this |

| Seeing that you were orcs and him humans, you should have attacked asap after getting lust. In pos, resources is a huge problem, I think you getting level 8 ogres was dumb ;P. Also, once you saw his alchemists, you should have had a flyer or a unit patroling all around your base. You should have fended your town as much as you could, and hit his expansions instead of his main. |
