| ok.. maybe later tonite I will try BW again. I was REALLY pissed last nite when I wrote that... I had SOOOOOOOOOo many bases.. I owned the whole darn map! W/ toss (My fav race) what counters mass carriers, besides better upgraded scouts + carriers? I love toss ground, but I cannot stand building their air force. I had started production of templar (high) WAYYYY too late, and mainly just to harass probes and defend my island expansions from smaller air assaults. I guess I will have to give toss air more respect now. Any tips/tricks for fighting them? Darkarchons, maybe? I'm lost.. |

| Use scouts, I've seen 12 fully upgraded scouts kill 8 partially upgraded carriers. (2/2) If you manage to make upwards of 40-50 scouts then I would suggest bringing along a little zealot support and using the scouts as the bulk of your forces. |

| Sadly not even toss have a counter to carriers, not when they use cliffs... The only race that can beat up on carriers is zerg with their devourers. |

| Well, High templar do well, so do Dark Archons (mind control), Dragoons on open ground 3:1, you could build carriers yourself, Arbiters to stasis them in a pinch, and of course, scouts EAT carriers. If you have 8 scouts, they have 12 carriers, you win. Just make sure not to let them shoot at the interceptors. I laugh at people who just build carriers. Carriers with corsair, I have to work a bit. But just carriers. Hell, I can win a thousand ways. Not to mention destroying their base while the carriers are away. |

| Now I remember where Praetor is fun, BW single player. Artanis, hehe. I would've started air upgrades and built scouts myself but I wasn't expecting carriers until too late. bleh |

c'mon Twist... why didn't you just rape him after you had like 2-3 expansions, maybe even 1. How many times did you actually attack him?
Like really, I'm guessing twice (once early then middle reaver drop), then ya just expanded to prevent him expanding instead of expanding because YOU needed more economy coming in. Not that I'm being a bitch, but I know you can play. All I can say is throwing the CD across the room aint gonna get you wins... but it won't get you loses either, I guess :)

| Actually, if you can get even one gas expansion you can mass carriers. It's kinda painstaking, but you'll have the resources for it... |

| Yup, Snowreaver's right. Carriers are only 250 gas. It's even feasible to get a group of 6-8 out of one base if you don't spend gas on anything else. With a gas expansion, you can get 6-8 and still have plenty of gas for other things like dragoons or templars. |

| doh, I've never actually made them before :) I am on bnet with a new name now just trying out strategies or stupid things (On a 1on1 on dire i just built CCs heh). His record is 0-2 now, but it's better cuz I bother my opponents with questions like "do you like cheddar" and threaten them with overlord rushes. |

Oh hi, DSBallz. Actually I attacked 3 times. I made no frontal assault, just peon rapes.
1st attack: Reaver drop on main
2nd attack: sent in 6 zealots and a couple goons on expansion, molested probes
3rd attack: 1 dtemp and psi storm old expansion
I know, I was stupid throwing down a ton of gates and starting a death army, but I cannot stand toss air for some reason.. and I had like 2k mineral sitting there :p Next time I need to try putting up 2 or 3 stargates maybe.. just to give air a try.. |
