OMG Gosu!
I liked this br alot, excellent Strifeshadow br! Good writing style too ;)
The game looks pretty wierd, esp those elementals . . . but I think I'll like it alot. Getting really expectant myself . . . any idea of what the price will be? |

Where did you get the graphics?
It looks cool, but I don't really understand the game enough to draw any judgement. |

I took the screenshots and pasted some units into them. Not easy, cause the units came from animated gif files, so i needed one of them animated gif builders to copy the units in the position i wanted it, and then i had to remove the black background :))
Thnx for ur comments :)

Even though this report is based off guesses and pasted together or created shots by a fan without firsthand knowledge of the game, I found it very fun to read.
I'll give you a few hints, since you took the time to do this... It's very unlikely that a seven carver rush will be enough to win you a game. I'm not saying that rushing will NEVER win, but it shouldn't be too hard to stop a rush if the players are similar in skill. The distance over rushing and natural base defensability or defenses will usually win out over a low tech rush... but you can rush to keep your opponent honest.
Sandstorms aren't at all like Psi Storms. It would be crazy if the Djinn's natural attack were as large and powerful as a psistorm... believe me, it's not... although a group of Djinn's will sweep death across ground troops fairly quickly, they are high on the tech tree and cost a lot. If you let your enemy get 12 Djinns, then yeah, you're in trouble without the more cost effective air to air unit or nasty spells or both.
It was really neat to see a pretend battlereport on what Marx vs Stalin thinks the game might be like though.
I thought it was funny how a lot of the units were facing the same direction because the only place to get the pictures was from our site where they all face the same way... hehe.
Just to avoid confusion, remember, the game design shown in the report is based very creatively on what little information we've released, so don't take this as battlereport pulled from a real game. We are going to incorporate tons of battlereporting features into the game like playback and the ability to crop and grab GIFs or single shots. You won't have to take 250 screenshots to make a minimap battle or good action sequence.
Another funny thing of note is that this may be among the last times you see the grass and buildings appearing as they do here, since I've completely overhauled both.
Oh, and Dagomar, the Chaos units are all pretty weird... the Chaos Manowar isn't released yet, but all three chaos units have two traits in common, whirling chaos energy and eyes all around their form (they are spinning in the tail of the Chaos Djinn, which is rather like a small elemental cloud). The Chaos units look as strange as the dark elf units look normal, and the Gremlin units have strange tech...
Strifeshadow will cost approximately half of what a normal RTS game costs. We haven't released an actual price, but our goal is to keep it affordable so that you don't have to choose between Strifeshadow and another game, but just buy both.
Any of you that haven't been there, check out more about the game at www.ethermoon.com.

Good fake BR :D
It was cool when you were like "Faith killed off the moors...Er not faith more like this little guy," and showed the Cabalists :D That was cute :) |

Great, I made a br and they change everything in the game :).
En well, I'll just have to make a new one when the new screenshots are released (very fast I hope).
And YRM, I bet I can 7 carver rush you :).

Very cool.
I did get a good laugh. For some strange reason, as soon as you said "Moag rushes" I thought of a bunch of Mogalins raising hell in someone's unlucky base!!!
Hmm, Mog maybe change his name to Moagalin for StrifeShadow?
Hahahha, I am laughing my ass of now!

Oh yea, no offense meant to Mogalin =) |

Elves? I think the idea of elves, orcs, dragons, etc.,
were interesting when I first heard of them, maybe a
couple decades ago. But c'mon, at least make yer own race
already.
At this point, if I see a game/book/movie with any
reference to the same old tired races, I tend to move on.
Its sort of like having 2 teams in the canadian football
league named Roughriders. Or maybe a more accurate example
is the 10,000 high schools that use the name nickname,
like cougars or tigers. Or the 10 million people named
Michael or John. Bah, people are lemmings.
