I don't see a problem with BGH battle reports, it's just that they need to be stylized a bit more than "I beat this punk's ass down, and even though this game took an hour+ I wrote a report that is only one page long." Where's the conflict? Where's the struggle? Where's the comeback in the face of loss? BGH-type maps breed the "I made a crapload of stuff and spanked my opponents" type of game. Since there are no islands, there is nowhere to run. Since there are no ridges or ramps, there's almost no strategy needed in your defense. After reading 20 of them they start to lose their edge. Reading these is more like reading the "6 pool on Temple" legacy.

Very little indication of what anyone other than you was making, how much you expanded, how much the other players expanded (yes people can expand on BGH.) What sort of defenses did people have? What did red do to build so quickly? How did your first wave of zerglings die? Did anyone upgrade? Were any interesting spell casters like defilers used?
You ned to tell us more about the game for this to be a good battle report. Or, preferably, a better game where the action isn't so one sided.
