dude that was hilarious. i really get a kick out of your style of writing, or rather the demeanor of your narration, dref. you just have this subtle way of stating things that really brings out the humor. like when you said "Xenocide began to get annoyed" and then you show the message where he says "how about you build your own things" or later you said "Xenocide began to get more upset" and then you show the message where he is just cussing you out and whining his head off. oh yeah and the heading "Loyalists vs Traitors" was pretty good too. i think this report was almost as good as the one against that DUDG guy who kept threatening that he wouldn't let you join his clan. heh. well anyway i don't mean to sound like a little ass-kisser i just have really enjoyed the BGH reports and am sad to see them come to an end, though i suppose there are only so many unorthodox strats you can try. thanks and great job!

This sucked because it was incomplete. Come on now, we all know all BGH games end with the loser disconnecting. No BGH player ever ends a game by waiting for his last supply building to be eliminated. To do so, would violate many codes and laws set forth by the BGH Agency for World Domination.

Dude your tactic is pathetic, might be good for humor but it really is sad you failed to mention in your report that it was a 1on1 newbies bgh match. I talked to the opponent you played and his record is like 3 and 50 loses with 4 disconnects. The only reason you even got close to living was cause you made a newbies game and played against a newbie.
Lets think about this...you had 4 dark archons and he only had 4 dragoons and a few zealots? If this was a real opponent you would be overwhelmed by zealots. You expect a few cannons to save you? What a joke. |

First of all, there is this really cool battle.net feature called /stats. By using this feature, you can see the records of other players on B.net.
Xenocide's record is currently 4-22-3. When I played him he was 3-13 or something like that.
I don't think I ever said that I was playing an expert. In fact, many times I insinuated as to what a newbie he was. For example, when he asked me to set the Network to extra high latency after he had just set it.
I'm perfectly aware that this or any of my other BGH strats will not work in most games where two evenly matched players face off. The underlying theme in all my reports is, "Haha, look at the newbies playing on BGH<i>!</i>" Sorry you couldn't pick that up.

LAUGH
First time reader: Cloning is a trick used to micromanage troops, especially spellcasters, when you want to target several things at once. What you do is, you start out with your dark archons (or queens, or whatever) at a distance from the targets. Select the whole group of dark archons and tell them all to mind control a single unit. They'll start moving toward that unit until they get in range. While they're moving, you shift-click one dark archon, thus removing it from the group you have selected, and then order the remaining ones to mind control a different unit. Repeat until all DAs are targetting different units.
If you're good, you can get them all going for separate targets before any of them get in range. Then a whole bunch of enemy troops defect to your side all at once. This is better than doing it one at a time, because if you do it one at a time each "converted" troop will get shot up by the remaining "loyalists."
As for drones and defilers vs. Terrans... I think it could work. What if you threw a plague on those firebats? Straight out firebats versus drones is no contest, but 1-hit-point firebats versus drones is a bit more even... *grin* Siege tanks (because of splash damage) are the only real danger. You'd also want to make a whole lot of spore colonies to protect your overlords from pesky wraiths and valks.

Well since i only Play toss... i've been running DA's since almost when Bw came out...I use DA's mostly on Min maps... but some times. i run them in BGH..if i do.. I will make a full group and run another race.. Da's are Fun.. but they can't win game....in that game, that guy was lame.. i would have recalled u once i seen u start first cannon ôô.. and your play would have failed bad ;)..
