1st!
And I read the report! Pretty good, though the pics were kinda grainy.

I just submitted this thing 5 seconds ago.. how the hell did i not get the first comment??!!
#3 Protophobic[36891]
pidgeotto-64.dynamic.rpi.edu
Oh yeah.. the images are grainy cuz i shrunk em all down by like 75% using a fancy program. I kinda like the pictures like this, they are actually brighter and it loads a hell of a lot faster than it normally would have.

proxy1.fmhe1.ab.wave.home.com
Actually it doesn't look all that much better, when it is light or grainy. Instead of shrinking you could have croped, and lightened up the pictures if you wanted. The BR looked ok, but it wasn't the best game to report on, i give it:
..

Well i loaded all the old unshrunk images back in so it loads a lot longer now but the pictures should look fine... except that stats one... its really "in yer face" now!

damn cropping!

It's pretty good except for the afore mentioned grainy pictures and short game.

Woah nelly! Both players sucked totally complete and utter suckness! No offense, they did. Dagormar made a bunker...heh... dumb location too!. Toss had like zippo probes! yay!

I personally didn't mind the pics, except the absurdly sized ones. The grainyness looked just fine.

I give it a 8-9 on layout, 4 on game.
so.. 7? heh :|
=D

Um, i was telling you that the players sucked, kindof a way of hinting
report on better players next time! :P

heh sorry ;p

I liked it, it's nice to just read a quickie now and again.

Good br. You have a nice style, I hope you keep writing. Every report gets some negative criticism, its just something you have to get used to. Some of it is useful too. The game was short and no one really likes seeing 'toss beat up on a terran (well except for those all 'toss players but they are big losers anyway) other than that though great job.

Excellent writing, bad game. I hate seeing toss own anything except maybe other toss, kekekeke...

hi, just read your report. I got curious whenu mentioned carpal tunnel syndrome. I have similar problems, though not as bad as a carpal tunnel syndrome. My question is, did u get it from playing to much computergames ? or was it something else??

by the way, nice BR for being a first...

Way to go! This was great!

Nazgul was good . . . I wasn't going for early rax by the way, just making two rax before factories, but I had so much success with the infantry that I decided to make more =)

You shoulda added how badly you got owned after by Nazgul! That was way worse than my showing! ;)

I'd give this an 8, it's REALLY good for a first br . . . 9.5 because I'm in it, 10 because of sexy medics ( getting millions of demented kids through puberty, every day ).

Oh PS I had two tanks, they worked well, one had 10 kills =)

Nice report, but I agree with the general comments on player quality, pretty much on the basis of a single item: the bunker placement. If you're trying to defend against an early zealot rush, it's really dumb to put your bunker way down where it can't protect your mineral line. And if you're attacking the base protected by said bunker, it's really dumb to charge the bunker instead of circling around to hit the undefended SCVs and totally shut down the enemy economy. Unless there was a tank there or something I didn't see... I don't play Terran all that well, but I like to think I can put my bunker someplace useful.

And wtf is with charging a Toss with infantry? That's an insane risk. Zealots own Terran infantry and so do goons. The only way you do any damage is if you get really lucky (as |)agomar did on this occasion) and catch the Toss right in the middle of teching or making the zealot/goon switch. Even then, |)agomar only won that encounter because Nazgul was early expanding.

The pics, althought grainy, actually loaded at school. =)

Good report. I agree about the quality of the game, though - this is no offense to anyone, neither reporter or players, but it does sorta affect how I read the report in terms of whether I gain any insight about the game from it.
1) Terran didn't take advantage of his choke. Even if you don't front gate your choke (there is no reason not to - it costs you nothing and completely prevents zealot rushes), you should still build around that area since your ramp is easily defensible.
2) There's no reason to go to rax on 7 unless you're really going to hardcore marine rush or are afraid of a 4-pool. 8th depot, 11th rax is viable against Toss, it give you a much better econ.
3) Expanding that early against Terran is suicide, especially if done without cannons.
Anyway, that's just some critical strat comments, doesn't mean the BR was bad or the game shouldn't have been reported. Hopefully, though, reading these will be helpful to someone :-).

the report was made nicely. it was just funny that i can sum up the game in like 2 sentences. Red attacked brown and destroyed a nexus. Brown made dragoons and attacked and won. (-:

when i read, and he said "gg" i was thinking, "uh... that's IT?!"

But hey, no one said these had to be epic battles, eh?

"Only 6 zealots" Heheh I found this amusing, I typically make 1-2 zealots at most against terr :) Goon rushing is just amazing ;)

Dansuul, the bunker could protect all my buildings. The zealots couldn't attack them because my buildings encircled the bunker. I had 2 tanks. Nuf said.

Young fool!

OMFG I have to comment again =(

I comscanned first, I detected the expo, sent in infantry.

I was going for tanks

Terran infantry is the best in the game with medics and if you mix forces right . . . but then you're a newb and dont know that
#28 Decimator[37023]

Do you guys actually read the report?

Cannons were there
Tanks were too

And WTF is with spamming the players? It was a a very fast, very dynamic game. I bet both playas could own you.

Okay. I apologize for my earlier post... it was late, I was in a bad mood. Both players could probably own me in a game.

I failed to notice the early scouting against the expansion. Under the circumstances, the infantry attack made perfect sense. My bad.

However, I stand by my comments about bunker placement--at least the one bunker I could see. That bunker could certainly protect the buildings, but the mineral line was out of its range. A smart zealot rusher would avoid the bunker and hit the mining SCVs, shutting down the Terran economy. Then the next wave would swamp the bunker and kill the base.

Furthermore, the report specifically said that red had "just got tank production going" when the _second_ wave of goons hit. I was talking about the first wave, the one that got chewed to pieces by the bunker. Why fight the bunker when you can kill the SCVs? Looking at the minimap, it didn't seem like there was anything that could block them from reaching the mineral line. Of course, in the heat of battle one might not notice that... I've made dumber mistakes, God knows.

Now, if there was another bunker near the SCVs, that wasn't shown in the pix; and if tanks were produced earlier than was mentioned; I apologize again and retract all claims.

Tips: Br good players *anyone who is not from NH* and dont use such short 1 sided games.
Plus get the new PSP for images, they wont be grainy if they are shrunken

Yeah, looking back, bunker placement stunk, but building placement was good ;)

The report's only flaw is that I had a tank when the first wave hit =)

Quick question for |]agomar. After you went to the expansion and killed the defending troops, why try to kill the nexus? I can understand tying to kill a zerg hatchery, because of the unit production, but why not go up the ramp and kill probes?
