Woohoo. Good work. Loved the sound effects. Nukes are undoubtedly the coolest thing in starcraft. I once had a toss begging for mercy even though he was out resourcing me 2 to 1 just cause I kept alternately nuking all of his expansions and he couldn't stop it. Persistant nuking = mental breakdown. |

This is SO cool, Fractal. Especially since Lewie decided not to write a Frenchy BR =). I had to keep quiet so my racking laughter wouldn't wake up my flatmates. I soooooo want to give this a 9 (sound effects are original, that's my justification), but I think I'll wait for the other raters. That just wouldn't be right =).

I had a bit of trouble on some of your 'battle sounds' (phonetic pronunciation and all) but other than that it was awesome :) If you could have gotten some pics (of forces, battles, etc. Your nuke sounds would have been hurt by pics, unless very well done) it would have been better, but still very good. I give it 8.5

| Why is it that everybody thinks that only brs with 20 pics, alt-text and an animated gif are worth recieving a 9 or above? A text-only br can be just as good as any flasy YRM report (no offense YRM). Read some of .Praetors text-only reports, or Shockwave's awesome pic-free ffa. This is a quality report on a very entertaining game, and deserves at least an 8.7. Gj Fractal. |

Heh, this was almost identical to a TvT game I played a few nights ago - we both offensive bunkered each other at around the same time. Difference was that I got tanks before he did, and he conceded as my first shells started hitting his bunkers.
.Praetor (or is it ][~Praetor~][ ?) will almost always offensive refinary/assimilator you, then proceed to contain you with bunkers or cannons. This is a common sleazy Shockwave strat that you can find in some of my earlier reports :-b. The trick is to make sure you patrol your first marine around your choke before you go kill the offending gas.
And yes, ghosts and nukes are really annoying, just stick a couple of turrets in odd places to protect your critical structures. He'll still be able to nuke from outside range of the turrets, but this will prevent him from getting into the heart of your base until he destroys those.

It was me, of course Shockwave =).
Willzzz, I offensive refineried before I started building my barracks. Muahaha. It is true a patrol of the first fighting unit will almost always defeat my strat. However, almost NO ONE (especially tvt) thinks to do anything but get the offending refinery quickly.
Shockwave: That works sometimes, but not always. See, if they don't have a ton of troops in their main and are not keeping a close eye on the base, you can walk past a turret, to the middle of the base, and launch from there. Simiple perimiter detection doesn't work all that well. Besides, in TvT the best target for nukes is depots. Losing like 5 depots so screws a player. |
