| i just took a look at it ... and i got that black stripe that everyone was complaining about. the far sides are black, along with a stripe in the middle/right. it makes it really hard to read. im on 1024x768, a kazillion colors ... what res are you doing? cuz until you fix this you will hear a lot of ppl bitching. |

I don't understand how there could be a black stripe as long as you let everything load it should end up being 500 pixels wide. There should be no stripe down the center I assure you. Are you sure all the pictures loaded? You may have to hit refresh if the table didn't automatically shrink back to 500 pixels. I am at 1280x1024 by the way but it should work at any res. |

I have to say though, it took 3 refreshes to get rid of the infamous "black stripe" due to my measly 56k connection.
Pretty funny report though and of course, good job with the graphics although the background may have been a little too prominent. Ask YRM though, he is the expert on these things.
Oh yeah, and the mouseover stuff with the starting map was pretty cool.

This may be sacreligious, but when rating is operational again, I'm debating between giving this a 7 or a 8. I'm on a cable modem, so download times don't matter to me. But I thought most of the graphics were totally unneeded or pointless. If it wasn't for the fact that yes, it was pretty funny, I'd be giving this a 5 or a 6. But then that's why we have a lot of raters. Everyone's different. And I happen to be different in that fact that I hate gratuitous graphics. It was also difficult to read in the fact that the paragraphs were close and for whatever reason everything seems to run together.
Sorry for being a party pooper. :P But after all those 10's, this just doesn't seem like a "10" report.

SnowSquall: If you have anything to fear it is not from me. I submitted a graphical "masterpiece" already. It took a month and a half to write, got about 50 comments and one rating. Only about half of the people trying to, could actually download it and of those probably only half bothered to read more than a couple paragraphs. I did this report cause it was fun. Hopefully the readers will have fun with it too (some of them seem to have). I'm sure this will mean fewer "10's" but honestly, who gives a shit? Anyway I still don't think my graphics were gratuitous since they were a part of the humor if not the actual informative part of the report. Anyway I hope you will rate this according to your personal enjoyment with out fear of charges of sacrelige (I wouldn't worry much, newty seems to agree with you).

Well I'm leaning toward an 8. I enjoyed the graphical masterpiece you were referring to because the game and the storytelling matched it, so it was a no brainer 10. It's just after so many 10's, I was hoping you wouldn't take less than 10 as a personal insult, given the nature of some people lately to really raise a brou-ha-ha if they don't get a gosu rating. :P
You touched upon something very important though, doing it for fun. That, I think, did show in this report, that you were enjoying it.. and while it was a little confusing to follow at times, it was pretty fun.
It just seemed.... so LONG! Actually looking at it again, it was long. Just don't get me wrong in thinking that I don't like it though. |

People stare at me as I roll upon the floor clutching my stomach, with laughter sporadically emanating from my mouth. Maybe it's just the seizure triggered by trying to read dark purple text on a black background. Your background fades to black on the left side, and the text doesn't show up very well. I had to squint really hard just to read the first word of each line. Using blue text would have fixed it. Other than that, this is the funniest report I've ever read. The picture of several hundred cannons in your opponent's choke was hilarious, and it took me a while to realize why another picture showed five Assimilators around one Nexus with fifty-something mineral patches. There were how many drones mining there? Two? Now that I know who Green and Blue were, I have to read it again and take a closer look at how you played. I may have to try that sometime. Sorry for the long comment, but I think you deserve it for making me squint at all your purple text.

Well ever since the very beginning I have been a stickler for quality ratings (ie only give it a good rating if the report is good, not for the "name" value). But I honestly thought this was a great report.
BTW fractal-wave, I liked those team pictures. I had to hit refresh a few times for it to work but they were SO funny! Orange - pylons in everyone's base! And Brown, not a hell of a lot. I thougth that was hilarious, maybe it's just me.
I was laughing so hard here at work that I had to pretend I was coughing. But when you do that, you're not laughing, and the urge to laugh becomes even stronger, so that you're constantly giggling to yourself like a moron. I had to go to the bathroom to calm down. But I kept on snickering even coming out of the bathroom. Now there's nothing more bizarre than a guy coming out of the men's room with a BIG smile on his face (WTF did _he_ just do??). So I tried to avoid (uncusessfully) people in the hallway.
Anyways I had a lot of fun reading this report and I thought it was hilarious. So there =) |

I actually found this funny (especially the nohunters bit ;). The stripe did suck, but small errors like that don't ruin the report (though it seems there's a 1 point penalty for them, or at least I've experienced that in the past where upon fixing a graphics-displaying error and reposting, I went up a point).
