I love the cannon strat have used it against a lot of newbies. Here is a similiar strat which works too. If you are zerg run your 9th drone into the far corner of his base and build a hatch. During the early part of the game nobodys seems to pay to much attention to their starting location especially if you have played the map numerous times. Then instead of a sunken rush which is itself gratifying. run over their peon line with 15 lings. Had it happen to me. Is not pretty. Great Report as always.

Relevance to story...I don't play protoss, but I'm sure i could have fun cannoning people to hell! Especially on bgh where my goal would be to cover the entire map...which would mean beating my opponent and continue playing!

| ROFL cheez strats rock!!! (well as long as they don't work on me..) Reading this report brings me to tell one of my most embarrassing moments on battle.net The time I ALMOST fell victim to the dreaded offensive sunken push on LT (was it you Dref?). I was terran at six and the guy had sunkens close enough to hit my comsat. I barely pushed back the zerglings and sunkens with marines and a tank the guy said "Sorry I was bored" and left the game after I killed the hatch on MY plateu. I was so traumatized after that game that I thought about quiting BW right there, but with some conselling I got better... I already know I suck, so no need to tell me. But I usually always scout around my base now and I have stopped many a offensive cannon (never ran into another offensive sunken again though). I can't believe I am actually telling this story...... |

I was playing on Blood Bath tonight... I played Zerg, naturally, and so did the other guy. I was starting my usual 6-pool-and-sunken build (it gets me a sunken colony and six zerglings at just about the time a 4-pooler's zerglings hit my base), when a drone walks in, sits down on my creep, and turns into a creep colony!
Guessing that there was a super-fast offensive sunken in store for me, I attacked the thing with my drones as soon as it finished morphing. I've been wondering about it since, though... sunken rushing on Blood Bath? Can it work?
I'm gonna be pondering this strategy. I'd love to hear if anyone else has any ideas, especially if they work well enough to kill a 4-pool. That would be the most humiliating way to lose... |

That was one of the best reports I've read. I have a friend who was so bad at this game, I could put the pylon in his mineral line and he wouldn't even notice. (Or have any troops to stop it with!) I think I'll try it the next time I see him.
I loved the picture of the hydra drop into the huge mass of dragoons and archons, and the large headings definitely made it easier on the eyes. This deserves a nine at least.
