Well, it's reports like these that just make me quiver with repeated firey orgasms ... and i can't even find anything that good of the net! maybe i'm just not looking hard enough.
Kinda an anti-report, with the whole "oh let's make a detailed pic filled report of and SCV rush" ... ah well ... |

I spent the most time figuring out how to enlarge a
picture of an SCV, adjust the contrast to get a nice
"fade" effect, and then make it off-center and large
enough to not look like a checkerboard.
And then it turns out BR.com whites out the background
anyway. :/
But at we see that powering to that 6th SCV beats
a 4 SCV rush to destroying the CC. |

| This report is completely absurd. In fact, it's so absurd that I like it. Would an SCV rush be more effective if the same tactic was used, rather than rushing with the initial 4, I wonder? |

FYI I think it's pretty even. when my 5th scv popped out I clicked on my cc; which of course instructed it to repair it, and I got the no minerals message and had to manually direct it to attack it like I did with my first 4. Who cares, though. :) |

I tried to SCV rush a protoss on Blood Bath a couple weeks ago. It went very poorly, since my four SCVs were easily crushed by his four probes, despite my micro management. Even though the SCV is more powerful than the probe in 1v1, the Protoss peon seems to be able to attack and surround the hapless SCVs far more easily in the tight space between command structure and mineral line, this due to their smaller size and higher maneuverability. Aw well, such games just aren't worth reporting, or even speaking about . . . .
Which is why this was such a terrible read. Another 40 seconds of my life gone forever. I won't forget that =) |

SCV rushes just plain don't work.
4 scvs attack towards me at the begining of the game, by the time they get here i'll have 7-8 probes/drones, maybe 6 if he finds me on the first try on bb, but chances are you'll hold it off (I live on the edge all 1 times I've been scv rushed, i let a probe keep mining) |

I for one think this report deserves a higher rating. It's funny, it's well-coded, and it is on topic: This was a UMS game, so the fact that they didn't try to defeat each other is moot.
Would you give a Bunker command BR a 3? I don't think so. |
