Wow, nice nice pictures :)
however, it looks as if you meant for there to be a black bakcground, and you didnt use the proper background tag (since you have to use a giant table) .. but other than that, great! just use the preview option next time :)
u know, the way this is (no posts from the other himself yet) it seems as if you acidently pressed post and didnt know it, meaning to press prewview

Probe: Your'e absolutely right. I hit Submit instead of Preview. If I had known it was white background I definitely would have stuck it in a table and made it black. It was meant for a black background :( I'll keep it in mind next time.
[{o}] - I'll keep my images to < 600 pixels next time - promise. Sorry about the excessive wideness. My bad. It's my first time posting and I forgot about the 200 or so pixels I lose on the left side because of the BattleReports sidebar. Again - maybe a preview would have prevented this.

Hey, great report. The game was a little one-sided, but it was a nice zerg strat so that's okay. You had some nice screen shots and some great descriptive writing.
Keep up the good work. We need more quality battle reports like this one around here... :-)

Thanks for all the good feedback. A few comments
a) After the game Fennec and Soul rematched with races reversed. Would you guys be interested in seeing this? I didn't necessarily want to invest the time to write up the reverse matchup (although it is also very good) because I would rather do a write-up involving terran
b) I forgot to mention upgrades in the report. Fennec had +1 zealot attack just as he was expanding. So take that screenshots with the pylons warping in and the zealot peeing and imagine they all have +1 attack. Unfortunately, since Soul had lurkers, he wasn't able to use the attack. Later in the game both players upgraded thier ground units. I believe Soul had multiple evo chambers to do the job.
c) Fennec placed most of his psi storms in the regions between the sunkens. This was a good idea on his part since the hydras would tend to clump in between sunkens, and it was also more likely to hit a lurker - since lurkers were commonly placed in between sunkens.
d) Soul never got any air units the whole game! I'm not sure if he even built a spire but he didn't have scourge or mutalisks the whole game. He did however get a super fast transporting and super fast overlord speed. |

One thing I didn't see: what was the total time of the game? What speed was it played at? I'm just amazed at all that resource production, in what seems like a pretty short game. Separates the great ones from the rest of us, I guess. |

Amazing! As both a writer and a humble Starcraft apprentice, I must say that this was excellent. I agree with whoever said that it was too wide, but it's your first and something's bound to go wrong, eh?
Coming from an editing viewpoint, the grammar and spelling was nearly flawless. I do get tired of reading battle reports, no matter how exciting the game, when words are misspelled and sentences mangled.
Perhaps I'll play a match against an equal ToJ member for you to BR, but I seriously doubt that our match will be nearly as exciting or educational. =) |
