In this case, the toss did the counter to golaith thunder (did you go random?), so of course it didn't work so well. Well :), in response to people. First off I picked terran and did shoot down alot of shuttles over the course of the game. It lasted far too long to try and remember every single one. In any case the goliaths DID save my ass from quite a few big drops. He only managed to take my main due to me watching an expansion, and him having like 8 shuttles fly in over my weakest point and start dropping. Before I could react too many goons were on the ground, and while a shuttle or two died, it was too late for my main.
As far as time and get-a-life wise, this game happened in the middle of the night for christsakes :). It's not like it effected any importaint social function I was planning on a thursday midnight, I mean, everyone knows you do all your wierd cult worship on tuesday's and fridays. On top of that, it was my first game in nearly 2 months, so please :) calm down.
Also, the final 45 minutes were pretty much me sitting on my isle while he tried to break my defences. So I just sat around watching TV until I saw interceptors, then started attack clicking the water like mad, poof poof poof, till he ran out of cash :).

| I am not trying to say that I have a life, but thanks for the explanation RAID. Maybe it is because the longer games go, the more my losing percentage seems to go up so I prefer shorter games since I win more of them. But feel free to play 24 hour games, who am I to criticize. |

Seems to me as though he should have gone with hallucinated arbiters to stasis an island then just killed the buildings with his carriers whilst you couldn't fight back. Or mass dweb, but how often do you get to say that you won using a hallucination and stasis combo? *grin*

| I was experimenting with this strategy yesterday, and went with the regular build, followed by two floating cc expands. I was lucky and foiled two drop attempts with patrolling Goliaths and started dropships. I went around, not doing much damage... then his carriers arrived. I was able to take down at least 2 fleets with my Goliaths and EMP. I also find that incorporating nukes into this strategy works since Goliaths dont require much gas. I was able to nuke several Carriers / Cannons / Starports which helped a lot. Just makin it a little more Johnny_Vegas. =] |

Actually, in response to another comment :) he did attempt to stasis a bit. This however was thwarted by the fact that I was slaughtering his arbiters, and had a TON of goliaths. Basically he couldn't stasis enough of em. As far as halucinations go, I wasn't even really targeting carriers. I was just mass attack moving my goliaths and slaughtering interceptors like mad :) I knew the map was low on cash and he couldnt keep producing those little buggers for long.
In any case, he was having one HELL of a time killing me (and to be safe, I had flown my e-bay back to a secluded spot near my origonal main).
Anyway, maybe with 8 arbiters he could have stasis'ed my whole isle, but I still believe I'd have been able to micro some goliaths to slaughter em pretty good before they could get off much.
