| #1 Xanetia[716] | | Hey, sounds like a long and entertaining battle you had there. Just one thing that I wanted to ask - you say you couldn't have emassed the troops to crack them? Were you using your spell-casters in combination?
Not a critzism, as I know that many times you can't really say something about a game unless you were in it. Just that I know that a toss/zerg combination is very wicked, and use of spells combined can crack a lot bigger forces (I've teamed up with toss friends before where they storm and I follow with a plague.. (thats 125? storm + 295 plague damage).) Also, it may seem pointless, but could you have harrassed with queen broodlings? or hit with plague and run your defiler away, hit and run storms.
Also, just curious - had all the ex's been taken and used? if not.. maybe you could have taken them. Also, did you have the island ex that was south of your starting ex? I know on Killing fields there is an island ex just south of the top left starting position - between top left and middle left. I've staged bases on that island often enough safe enouhg as ppl seem to forget about it.. hehe
Anyway, sounds like a good game, and as I wasn't there I'm not sure just what either position was in. | | #2 Xanetia[723] | | Well, revision and update to above comment.
It's in the right place this time.. arrrhhh!:
Hey, that sounded like it was a long and interesting game you were in.
I do have a few questions/thoughts though..
1. Were all the expansions used up or taken? It's just that I know that a lot of ppl forget about the island ex on Killing fields. The island ex is to the south of the top left starting potions, between top left and middle left.
2. what about spell casters? They can make nearly impossible situations very managable again. also, when combined between different races they really rock .ex - zerg plague & storm. The toss storms the opposiion (125 damage?) and then the zerg plagues for 295 damage. Or Ensnare & storm.)
3. could you possible have used harrassing techniques to whittle your opposition down? I know this takes time, but zip a queen in and broodling something, do hit and runs with templar/defilers (storm & plague used together.. nasty)
Ok, i know you said those last battles really took it out of you & your partner, but if you were hurting then so were they most likely. and if you could do hit and runs with spellcasters that could have given you the match. but anyways, I wasn't in the game so don't really know what either you nor their situation was exactly. These were just some thoughts I had
| | #3 Mind_Twist[731] | | | Hi, Flint. That sounded like fun. You did awesome in that, too. Fun and easy to read, also. See you on Bnet. | | #4 Flint79[736] | | | Xaneta: I hear what your saying, but there was only one prob. All those epic battles that took place were magic and melee troops on both sides, using storm and d-web. It was zerg and toss vs zerg and toss. If that one toss guy was a zerg or terran....I think we would have won the game. Psi storms were a major pain in ass for me that game. We were totally deadlocked. Lag was horible, and this point, too much Starcraft make Flint go something something. Crazy perhaps...yes, I think that's it. The whole map was covered in expansions at that point. We all allied out at the end as we deserved it...I'm just glad I took down a toss and kept the resistance against the other toss. Thanks for the comments Twist....I can't seem to break my 6 rating on reports...Grrrrr. Next time...screen shots damnit. | | #5 Flint79[742] | | | Also, I really should have obtained Defilers...but gas was usually a prob...or the game was so lagged I just did'nt bother. Also, at the time I was making just enough units from all my hatches to fend the epic battles and I did'nt wanna change that. | | #6 l3lade[749] | | i was teal toss, and ShabzOne was red zerg, my ally
TerranTurtle was purple terran and Rocketseed was Brown Zerg
Werehynadona and weremuppet were toss and terran respexctively
U and Limping were allies, limping was te blue toss who pissed me off with stupid storms.. should used dark archons more often >=( | | #7 Flint79[751] | | Ahhh yes. I suppose I was mistaken with the two muppet guys. It was Werehynadona I took out first. Yes, The storms were a major part in that game. I also heard the funniest quote so far playing this game.
I believe it was weremuppet: "That last CC was our only hope."
His partner: "No...Yoda spoke of a twin sister." | | #8 Weremuppet[1568] | | | Actually I think the CC/Yoda lines might have both been mine, but I can't remember. Oh well, it worked. |
