yeah, Everlast is awesome, but 9 is far worse than it used to be, and is far closer to a group of friends, than the worlds top players in 1 clan. The last 9 had maynard, everlast, tillerman, the list goes on :)

Nice report, and Im really glad Mark4 won. But lets talk a litte about stratagy in that game.
I know that you were bieng sarcastic with the comment about NTT bieng a heartcutter fan. Its worth mentioning though that from what Ive heard, the dual factory open was popular way back when, before Broodwar or many of the patches. But those were different times for starcraft and I suspect that NTT was using the older version, that might not have much difference as far as the build order, but might be played differently.
He seemed to be focused on defend-and assasinate while Mark4 was expanding and building up. Might have worked against a player who was bieng more aggressive and leaving his expansions less gaurded.
Of course this is just a bit of theorycraft from a guy who is better at running his mouth than playing :o. Plz tell me what you guys think. |

Hmm, Heavy metal is suppost to be an anti-archives build, isn't it? The BO was made in response to dt rushers and is usualy stopped by goons stopping the first exp and teching to robotics (and/or corsiars), right? (taking advantage of the ability for people with no skill to still be able to speak strats :P). Perhaps Deep 6 would've worked better with plenty of bats and vessels.
If so then basicly Mark not only won this, but humiliated NNT (sort of like seeing cracklings slaughter a firebat lover). Whether this makes Mark in line with joining the elites I'm not one to decide on. However, it is nice to know that I wasn't smurfed by some weakling so long ago (I still fear snowbound vs a protoss after that :/). Jeesh, dts in offbeat corners and all... *CRINGE*.
NNT realy did have no right to being..well... how he was, no matter his true skill. If you rock and messed up in a game, accept it and move on. If you did something that caused a loss then expect people to comment on it and for you to either say "very, I F'ed up" (or however you say it with your silly accents :P) or defend your build. No one thought he couldn't play; just didn't make a good choice back there (if your own partner and clanmate agrees, it might've been a bad choice). Basicly, he slipped up in a game, couldn't take it, and put his honor on the line with a rather sensless match and lost it horribly.
Oh well.. nice follow-up report. Also, if someone is caring, a few possible quotes to grab from here:

I've had problems with this. Some guy named thri-kreen starting insulting me, and woudn't even play me. I kept my cool, and I didn't go out of my way to insult some dude.
Another thing.. when someone "perceives" they're being insulted, they usually are. Bob_the_newt insulted me when I was playing ko[b]ull. He called me "GayOver" and other things. I got really pissed off @ him and challenged him to a match. He beat me after he killed my templar. He claimed that he didn't insult me, but when I got pissed @ him he took it as an insult and used that as an excuse to try to fight me (by that time I didn't want to fight him).
I'm not pissed @ Bob anymore. I certainly don't want to insult him or anyone else, because it's just wrong. If you guys just ignore this person, you'll come out looking mature. |

Woohoo, this was great! Good foresight on the DTs in the ravine at 6/9, I guess you learned your lesson after the game against NM. Hmm, he just tried to drop pure tanks there? I would have taken a bit more time: drop 2 SCVs and a bunch of marines and build a bunker/turret, then stick the tanks down there (maybe one on the upper ledge). At LEAST mine the place. I know this takes more time, but you might as well cheese smart if you're going to cheese :-).
And yes, it did seem like NTT was just doing a traditional 2-fact. Was there any variation? Because just about everyone now knows how to respond to a 2-fact, especially a 2-fact turtle... |

This report was so horrible. Why don't ya give us the screenshots of what NTT did correct? Yeah I know NTT didn't play well at all otherwise Mark4 would have been dead in 20 minutes. Mark4 is way overated. He isn't shit compared to what the "elite" players are otherwise he wouldnt play constant public games and hang in Nohunters all the time.
