About that pylon. He warped in 2 cannons.

Heartcutter has the best musical taste I've seen in a BR so far. Yeah. No stinkin' Ricky Martin here. Thanks.
Nice report, but I had to admit in all the Kung Fu Fightin, I got a little confused. This one was far too easy for ya :) We didn't really get to see your "Deep Six" in action either... That's too bad, I'd like to hear about a good game you play using it.

I wish I could have gotten some good firebat battle pictures, but I was too wrapped up in micro.
Mark4 also summed up it up when he said it's all in the timing. The speed that this strat comes off is fairly quick. I'll do a little better next time. Hopefully, I'll have a good goon containment placed over my choke. Maybe make me fight a little harder.

OK, but I don't see can you can fight goon/temp containment without tank pushing over the entire map :(
Please tell me :)
btw Mark4 owns me even using such shitty units as cannons and dt :( |

Big words coming from someone who doesn't have the balls to post a name by their comment.
I liked the report. A little one-sided, and not exactly showing off Deep Six's full facets, but I'm sure when a better game presents itself, HC will report it. Good luck with the build. |

One question HC... when do you go for SV for mobile detection? Or do you rely mostly on scanner and turrets?

good report. I have one question though. It seems like you go infantry heavy against all 3 races well wouldnt storm and reavers ruin your day? The 6 barracks 1 factory and science vessels looks like a strat you would use against the zerg but you seem to use it on all 3 races. Sure you might emp the templar but if you dont get all of them you are shit out of luck

Is this the first official reference to the Deep Six? If so, lets make it a mark in history. Now we just have to publicize the strat and its name a lot.
Nice BR. I liked it. New styles of reporting are always a welcome change. |

Mac, this 101% bad-ass tone is as old as the site itself....search for Heartcutter. The terran pimp has tons of reports out on zerg & protoss popping.
Parrrrty ball.

Heartcutter should be in the Hall of Fame for all these "strategy reports"... an awful lot of gold... er, wait, he already is.
Anytime your reports can actually change the way multiple people play the game, you're a good reporter. |

| I like this strat. It really compliments your arsenal against a toss. A wallin can mean anything, really. I'm just wondering how this would work against Zerg, modified a bit of course, and if walling in is a good idea vs a random opponent? |

Hey Heart, It was a nice, clear report. BTW, How did you manage those DarkTemplar in your base? I didn't really get a clear understanding of that part. Did you build a Turret behind your wallin, or what?
I am still not as good at interpreting what a player is going to do in a game myself, though.
today, I saw a guy make a Lair, and rushed to start pumping goons to stop the inevitable Hydra/Lurks/Mutas, but instead he went Hive-Full Crackings at me. =( Doh!
I had enough Zeal to hold him off, though....and this has absolutely nothing to do with your battlereport... sorry =)
Keigu,

Heh. Dancing queen didn't even have the balls to dis heart in a language he could understand. Makes me even happier that heart used his head for a mop.
PS: More details please!! Some of the action in this report was kinda vague. How'd the bats get the DT? How'd the DT get in in the first place?
Can't wait until your next report. |
| #27 Rupeo (1Cust24.tnt4.sfo3.da.uu.net)[20640] |

Yes, another BR with more detail would be helpful. I guess what makes this an expert level of stratagy is that you have to rely on comstat and micromanagenant of infantry. Heartcutter probably delays SV until after an expansion has been secured, and certanly concentrates on ghosts first. Id like to see that part of the stratagy(the use of ghosts) in action more in another report.
Maybe Heartcutter will do a wallin and quick expansion guide at some point? To make a complete trilogy. |

Hey, I wonder if the...individual who posted comment #13 was Dancing Queer...uh, I mean Queen?
Anyway, HC excellent report and strategy. I am going to "present it" to some friends this weekend. They are going go nuts when I pull out the ugly stick (Deep Six) and beat them with it. |

I always rush for Vessels after I get my expand.. I usually make do with 1 and 2 when I can fit it in with the ghosts I'll be producing... =]
I have to mention: This strat owns TvT too.... I played my friend and won hands down in 18 minutes. I had tons of M&M sitting around... 8 marines in bunkers...2 tanks outside natural w/ wraiths for sight... eventually I plowed him with Ghosts locking down and taking potshots at marines..... |
