| Even though you seem to be pointing out how to overcome imbalance, it seems like he used a variety of good terran vs toss tactics and still couldn't win. You are good, but do you consider yourself one of the top players in the world Mantra? If so cool, if not, maybe the fact that a top player in the world couldn't win vs a good toss player says something. |

What the hell is this? I honestly don't believe that this is true. Your telling me you beat this guy with toss, and that proves imbalance? Provide pix. There was a report a while ago where I believe ghost played him 1v1 toss vs terran and lost. He had pix. Good BR but its mighty fictious as far as I'm concerned. |

Hm, you gives miss the point i think :) That was the first game in a series i plan to finish, (unless everyone hates me :) ). The purpose of the series is to look at diffirent angles of toss vs terran. I believe that is a near BALANCED matchup. The first game was an example of a terran losing to a toss, the next will be vice versa. The game was not fictitious, and no I don't consider myself one of the top players in the world. The reason a5-Ssibangse lost to me is that he plays exclusively zerg, and he owned me in our rematch with him as zerg. I was just trying to point out some tactics, i wasnt trying to prove imbalance or a huge point with one game :)
Sorry bout the giveaway, wasnt thinking about it.
The main reason I did this was to look into the strategy of both sides in that matchup....
If i get some POSITIVE comments :) i will continue the series, if not ill crawl back into my corner and sulk for a bit.

It's an interesting BR I look forward to the next in the series if you decide to make one, being a hard core (no pun intended :-)terran fan with VERY limited abilities especially against well commanded toss I always like looking at an observation of the terran-toss matchup so I can learn a trick or two to beat 'em. Couple suggestions though, first the battle report itself shouldn't be so long but an indepth discussion on what was done well and what should've been done would be very helpful also if you can get screen shots of key moments and sorta dissect what's happening and why this captures a key part of the terran-toss match up and how if something changed why the entire thing might be different, cuz I know that little things have caused me to get my ass handed to me by toss many times
also all commenters are right about not giving away endings in the begining. Good Luck on the next one maybe you'll see a report o' mine up here at somepoint.

I liked this BR
I just played a game of Toss vs Terran (me toss) on Styx yesterday. I lost because I simply could not break his defense. I contained him early with goons and zealots, and did a dt raid which killed many infantry. Then i moved up to a reaver drop which got killed.
After that, I did not know what to do exept expand. I couldn't get near his tanks to storm (they would blow up the templar, even w/ a leading zealot), and soon I got nuked/empd on my expansions. I didn't know how to assault him!!
It occurred later that I could have used dweb (duh). I guess that would have done it maybe.
What do you guys do vs tanks? Seems tanks own anything toss have on land...
